La Casa nel Borgo is located in the ancient hamlet of Cantalena Alta and is now part of an almost completely restored rural complex consisting of 6 small houses, where efforts have been made to keep alive the ancient traditions and times gone by, using stone in the restoration along with original reclaimed materials.
A road that climbs through green woods and breathtaking views will lead you to La Casa nel Borgo. The first time it may seem a little challenging, but as soon as you arrive at your destination you will be rewarded with absolute peace, stunning views, unspoilt spaces and unforgettable sunsets. The place is your paradise if you are a nature lover, surrounded by cool green forests and inhabited by local wildlife. It is not difficult, on summer evenings, to come across friendly hares, porcupines, roe deer or fallow deer.
The small hamlet has a beautiful panoramic swimming pool (10x5 mt, depth 1.20-1.60 mt - open from 17 May to 27 September) completely fenced and with a Roman steps, which is about 100 metres from your house and in common use with the other guests. In the solarium you will have your own private area with 4 sun beds and a sun umbrella, where you can spend your lazy days by the pool. The house also has a private, shaded area with a table and chairs, where you can enjoy your meals in the peace of the cobbled alley.
The house is equipped with all the necessary comforts, furnished in rustic style, reminiscent of the rural homes of our grandparents, the beamed ceilings (the size of some of the doors are quite small), the terracotta floors, the old marble sink... we can assure you that spending your holiday here will be a real plunge into the past!
The little house, in our opinion, is ideal for couples, even with children; if you wish to get away from it all, it will become your favourite place, you will only be disturbed by birdsong, and in the morning you will wake up to a wonderful view to greet you. At Casa nel Borgo quiet, tranquillity and the slow, lazy flow of the days will be the watchwords of your holiday. The nearest shops are in Castiglion Fiorentino, about 15 km away. And about 9 km away, in the lttle village of Santa Cristina, you will find a small grocery shop and a Tuscan restaurant. From the village of Castiglion Fiorentino, with its shops and services, following the suggestive road that crosses the entire Val di Chio and climbs the wooded hills and represent the natural border between Tuscany and Umbria, you will arrive at a small cluster of houses set on the slopes of the hill and overlooking a beautiful wooded landscape. The last stretch of road, about 200 m, is unpaved and sloping. La Casa del Nonno is a small, old stone house that is part of this original rural settlement once inhabited by farming families. A careful renovation has brought La Casa del Nonno back to life. Rustic style furniture, old beams on the ceilings, the old fireplace in the living room, give it a warm atmosphere reminiscent of times gone by, when the house and the open fire were the shelter of the farmers after a hard day's work.
The house will be your own little nest, well-finished, comfortable and cosy and will immediately give you the feeling of being welcome.
In front of the house there is an outdoor area arranged on natural terraces connected by steps, completely fenced and equipped with garden furniture, barbecue and a small house with laundry. Villa Cecilia is an old farmhouse dating back to before 1800. You will find it perched on a hill in the heart of the Valdichiana, about 4 km from Castiglion Fiorentino, a characteristic village where you will find shops, restaurants, supermarkets and all necessities.
The farmhouse has been recently and carefully restored under the careful guidance of the owners, who strongly wished to maintain its ancient origins and characteristics. The original terracotta tiled floors, the high ceilings with wooden beams, all coordinated with quality furnishings, with fine antiques, are a perfect match for the characteristics of the villa. You will feel a sense of warmth at the villa, you will feel welcomed and pampered, perfectly in harmony with your surroundings.
The history of the farmhouse is also fascinating. In ancient times, the Valdichiana was a swamp and before the land reclamation took place, its waters lapped the land of the property and just a few steps from the house there was a small harbour for boats that connected by water to the surrounding villages.
Today the villa is part of a farm that includes vineyards, cereal crops, farmyard animals and beautiful horses. About 1 km away, at the owners' residence, you will be able to enjoy the organic produce from their vegetable garden free of charge. Their paddocks, should you travel with your horses, will be at your disposal (service available for a fee).
Around the villa, you will enjoy a large, completely fenced green space perfect for your morning or evening walks even with your four-legged friends. Inside the park there is also a woodland path (approx. 500 m) where you can relax, walk and organise cool snacks.

Villa Gioiosa is an old stone house that once belonged to the nearby Benedictine monastery and was used by the monks as a chestnut dryer, of which the surrounding woods are rich. Today the house has been completely restored, maintaining the characteristics of the old Tuscan farmhouse, both in the architectural features and in the furnishings, enriched with local antiques.

Fantastic apartment for 4 people on the sea in San Vincenzo, in Livorno province (Tuscan coast). It is located in a stately old building subdivided into 4 apartments. The apartment occupies the lower ground floor (6 steps down), so it stays at a pleasant temperature even on the hottest days. The living room has French doors that face a small pocket terrace at the back of the house, which is also where the parking lot is; the bedrooms have high windows.
Outside, there is a private terrace with direct access to the beach, where there is a beach club (with bar and restaurant) as well as a free access beach.
Casa Riva guests have use of an umbrella and two sun loungers at the beach club below: this service is free of charge, but only available when the beach club is open (the season usually runs from the beginning of June to the end of September). The town of San Vincenzo offers shops of all kinds and excellent restaurants just steps away from the apartment, and there is a supermarket 150 meters away. In the area there are important places of interest to visit such as Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci, Monteverdi Marittimo, and the Gulf of Baratti.
