However, you might also wish to experience many of the traditions and festivals that only take place during the high season in Tuscany. In fact, though it may be little-known to tourists and a little off the beaten track, it is a bit of a mecca for bakers and even hosts a bread festival each year.

For this reason, it is known as the “town of bread”. In addition to delicious baked goods, however, the town has a lot more to offer and to be discovered.

Chiodo is a beautiful farmhouse set high in the hills between Lucca and Pisa, with magnificent views on the valley below. Founded in 1366 it began as a humble residence of monks and continued as one for several centuries.

Wir waren eine Woche in Casa Max und können nur schwärmen. Der Aufenthalt in der Wohnung war super. Es war alles liebevoll hergerichtet und man hat sich wie zuhause gefühlt. Hatte man eine Rückfrage, so bekam man diese umgehend von Emilio beantwortet. Hier waren wir in keinem Fall das letzte Mal :)

Wunderschönes gepflegtes Ferienhaus. Die Inhaber sind sehr herzlich, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Lage ist ideal, man erreicht viele sehenswerte Orte. Tolle Strände haben wir in 1h erreicht. Wir waren mit Kleinkind da und waren sehr willkommen.
