Foce A Giovo: One Of Tuscany's Most Historic Hiking Routes

This week we have been talking all about adventures in Tuscany and some of the most scenic spots that are located around the province of Lucca and it would be remiss of us, therefore, not to mention Foce a Giovo. The dynamic city of Coreglia Antelminelli has a history that dates back to the 10th century. It was briefly under Florentine control in the 14th century but after the city was won back from the Florentines, it became part of the Republic of Lucca. Barga dates back to the Longobard era of the early Middle Ages and its street plan has changed very little since then. It is a large web of little streets and alleys around historic buildings that is characteristic of the area and incredibly pretty.

het verblijf was ok. Heel moeilijk te vinden. GPS coordinaten mss vermelden op de site. Toch enkele minpuntjes nl geen deftige koffiezet. Op de site staat op 6 km van de zee. Dit klopt jammer genoeg niet en is 60 km wat neerkomt op 1 uur rijden.
