Interior Description
The interiors of Villa Caterina are very spacious and bright and are characterized by ceilings with exposed wooden beams and terracotta floors recalling the rustic Tuscan style, famous all over the world.
The villa develops on two floors. Originally, the ground floor was used as a tool shed, barn and stable, the first floor was intended for housing and finally the second floor was the Piccionaia. The building has undergone an important renovation which has created totally different areas: the ground floor has now become the meeting place for the group with a huge living room with sofas, fireplaces and TV and a dining area with a large table and chairs. Adjacent to the living room lies the fully equipped kitchen. From the living room and kitchen you will have direct access to the garden and outdoor dining area. Completing the ground floor is one bedroom, one double, a large bathroom with shower and bathtub and a laundry room. There is also a guest toilet.
You reach the second floor thanks to a comfortable terracotta staircase that leads us to what was once the most important room of the house: the large Leopoldina kitchen, meeting place of the family and currently a lovely salon where we find an impressive elevated fireplace and a beautiful stone sink. From the lounge you will have access to the four rooms that make up this floor: three double bedrooms and a fourth double bedroom. Upon request two additional single beds can be added. Each room has an ensuite bathroom (3 with shower and 1 with bathtub).
