Villa Sorgente dates back to 17° century and it is still possible to read the date of 1606 engraved on the wall. The villa belongs to an agricultural farm producing doc wines, extra-virgin olive oil, honey, cheese, grappa, olives.
It was originally built as the house of the farmers working in the estate, than restored, it is now a spacious country villa of 600 square meters.
It lies on the hills between Lucca and the versilian coast with beautiful view overlooking the valley below and in the distance of Pisa, Livorno and the sea beyond. It is located in a quiet and secluded position but at the same time it is only 9km far from the historical centre of Lucca, 25km far from the famous versilian spot as Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Torre del Lago Puccini, 40km far from the international airport of Pisa, 30km far from the Montecatini Terme spa. It is also an ideal base for daily trip to Cinque Terre, Firenze, Siena, Garfagnana area.
It is close to the "Road of the Lucca's hills doc wines" so it is also possible to go out just for a walking and a tasting of good wines.

At guests' disposal:
The villa is surrounded by olives groves and vineyards, the large garden is equipped with tables, chairs, deckchairs, bbq, wood oven, tennis table and private swimming pool ( mt. 4X8 depth. 1.20-1.60 mt. open from 1st May to 30 Sept.) with changing room.

Distances: There is a local famous restaurant walking distance ("Lombardo"); another one ("Vipore") 2 km from the villa.
All nearest services (supermarket, grocers, bank etc) in S. Alessio, about 7 km far direction Lucca; or in san Martino in Freddana, about 6 km direction Versilia.
Nearest trains in Lucca (12-13 km far)
Nearest busses in S.Alessio, about 7 km.
Motor vehicle access to the house: 2 km via unpaved road not suitable for sport car.

Interior Description

Villa Sorgente is made up of three floors on 600 square meters.

On the ground floor there is the entrance hall, dining room with fireplace, kitchen fully equipped(dishwasher, oven, microwave, 6 gas hobs, american and italian style coffee-maker, toaster, etc), small library with novels and surrounding terrritory informations, storage-laundry room with washing machine and two large refrigerator with deep freezer. Tv-sat room with stereo. Sitting room with fireplace that can be converted in a double bedroom (double sofa-bed) with ensuite bathroom (with shower).

On the first floor: spacious living room with big fireplace, and 4 bedrooms:
1 double, 1 twin, 2 doubles convertible into twin - each one with ensuite bathroom.

On the second floor 2 bedrooms: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom;
one has a spacious private bathroom just in front, and one has an ensuite bathroom (with shower and bath-tub).

Cot and highchair available, on request. Garden and pool area furnishing with changing room, tables, chairs, deckchairs, wood oven, bbq, tennis table. Equipped loggia in front of the entrance for al fresco eating with automatical external light. Private parking places by the villa.
