Villa Sorbello is a fabulous converted farmhouse with a private pool. The villa lies a mere 15 minutes drive from the renowned Tuscan town of Cortona or from the pretty shores of Lake Trasimeno. Villa Sorbello's strategic venue is further enhanced by its three-mile proximity to the Siena - Perugia motorway. This is a great base from which to explore the Tuscan hilltop towns and the hidden treasures of Umbria.

The villa is surrounded by woods and olive trees, offering many shady spots and furnished garden area including a vine-covered loggia. A gardener tends to the grounds every day. The nearest house is 200 meters away and it is used by its owners only few weeks in August.

The comfortable and spacious interiors feature French doors that open onto the garden and terraces. All six bedrooms have air conditioning (payable locally). Some windows have screens in the common rooms as well as in two of the bedrooms. Maid service and a welcome hamper can be arranged at the time of reservation.

Interior Description

A spacious traditional Tuscan farm house, bright and relaxed country living, Poggio Sorbello is where you will find peace and tranquility.

The owner, Raffaello, has recently refurbished and enlarged the villa to a very high standard in 2010 and have thoroughly dedicated himself to the attention to details. Villa Sorbello lies through the 300 square meters of this sunny and charming Tuscan home and walk bare foot on the terracotta floors, cook using the fresh herbs found in the garden and use one of the many table sets found in the antique wooden side boards or cupboards.

ACCOMODATION: The villa is organized over two floors. On the ground floor is a large lounge with fireplace, beamed ceiling, a WC with washbasin, a large TV room and a bedroom with en-suite bathroom with access to a pretty patio for relaxing al frescoe.
On the other side there is a spacious hall with an alcove featuring a comfortable dining room for 8 people.
This room allows entrance to the new building – where you will find a large kitchen with dishwasher and microwave with a/c – big fireplace with table for 12 people.
On this side you will also find two bedrooms (twin/double), one with en suite shower rooms and a/c and the another bedroom with external shower room a/c


Upstairs, the master double bedroom has a queen sized bed, a terrace, a dressing room and spacious en-suite bathroom with bath and shower (newly refurbisehd); an additional double bedroom, also with queen sized bed and terrace; a twin bedroom and a separate shower room (newly refurbished).

There is a washing machine and iron. Mosquito nets cover all windows. Washing machine.
