Villa Marisa is located in a hilly position, immersed in a cool pine park near the Passo della Libbia, about 600 metres above sea level. The characteristic medieval town of Anghiari, which we absolutely recommend you visit, is about 10 km away. You will find the villa along the ancient route that connects the city of Arezzo with Anghiari and the Valtiberina. The villa will be an ideal starting point if you wish to visit areas rich in historical, cultural and religious aspects of primary importance such as Arezzo, Monterchi, Sansepolcro, Anghiari and many others.
And if your wish is to spend a relaxing holiday, we guarantee that you will find yourself in the right place. Silence and quiet, far from the heat and traffic of the city, for a few days you can leave behind your hectic daily life and dedicate yourself to your well-being.
In Anghiari, along its alleys, you will find typical restaurants and renowned trattorias where you can spend pleasant evenings and enjoy excellent local red wines and traditional Tuscan dishes, such as the famous “Bringoli all'anghiarese”. In addition to being amazed by its flavours, you will be enchanted by this small jewel perched on the hill, its 13th-century walls, its cobbled alleys and medieval houses.
All around the villa, and for your exclusive use, is the large, completely fenced green space, the beautiful swimming pool (size 6x12 m, depth 0.30 - 1.60 m and with a perfect children's section of 3x3 m - open from 16 May to 19 September), a table tennis, children's games, garden furniture, barbecue and wood-burning oven. At your disposal are 4 bedrooms and a large living room, and for outdoor meals a magnificent paved and furnished terrace with a view of the lush garden and swimming pool. The perfect place, in our opinion, for a group or family holiday with your children.
On the ground floor of the villa there is a small gym equipped with exercise bikes, step, weight bench etc... ideal if you are a sports enthusiast and don't want to miss your workout even on holiday.

In the corner of Tuscany lies the charming medieval town of Anghiari where visitors can delight in the historical, cultural and picturesque riches that they’ll find in this treasured place. The charming medieval town of Anghiari, in the province of Arezzo, was of extreme importance during the Middle Ages due its strategic position on a hilltop in Tuscany. In a time where lands changed hands frequently, this positioning was useful in preventing it slipping from your own grip and into another's. It is also here that the famous Battle of Anghiari took place, in 1440 when Florentine troops defeated a Milanese army and gained control of the region. Said scene was famously depicted by Da Vinci, further solidifying the town's place and name in history. Wir hatten im Sommer 2024 eine wundervolle Zeit in der Villa Marisa. Das Haus liegt in einem kleinen Dorf auf einem Pass. Auch im Hochsommer sind die Temperaturen hier angenehmer als in den nahegelegenen Städten. Der Pool ist groß und gut gewartet. Vor allem unsere Kinder hatten einen Riesenspaß beim Schwimmen. Die Einrichtung lässt keine Wünsche offen: Im Erdgeschoss gib es eine kleine Küche (mit Spülmaschine!) und ein schönes großes Esszimmer. Um Das Haus herum gibt es weitere Sitzecken, Grills, einen Pizzaofen und sogar einen kleinen Spielplatz. Die Schlafzimmer sind sauber und geräumig. Die beiden Badezimmer sind klein, aber sauber und funktional eingerichtet. Es gibt eine Waschmachine in einem kleinen Extraraum, der von Außen zu erreichen ist.
In der Umgebung kann man durch die Berge wandern und die Städte in der Umgebung besuchen.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We had a wonderful time at Villa Marisa in the summer of 2024. The house is located in a small village on a pass. Even in midsummer, the temperatures here are more pleasant than in the nearby towns. The pool is large and well maintained. Our children in particular had a lot of fun swimming in it. The furnishings leave nothing to be desired: On the ground floor there is a small kitchen (with dishwasher!) and a lovely large dining room. Around the house there are further seating areas, barbecues, a pizza oven and even a small playground. The bedrooms are clean and spacious. The two bathrooms are small, but clean and functional. There is a washing machine in a small extra room that can be reached from the outside.
In the surrounding area you can hike through the mountains and visit the towns in the neighbourhood.

Très belle maison située proche d'Anghiari en basse montagne (à 600 mètres d'altitude), dans une forêt de pins, et à 20 minutes en voiture de la superbe ville d'Arezzo (à 15 minutes de plusieurs supermarchés).
Très bien située pour découvrir les principales villes de Toscane et d'Ombrie à 1h / 1h30 de voiture (Florence, Sienne, Cortona, Pérouse, Assise, Gubbio...).
Située au calme sur un terrain en restanque sans vis à vis, point de départ de belles balades pédestres de montagne, ou simplement pour aller à pied prendre un repas dans le très bon restaurant situé juste à côté proposant des spécialités Toscanes.
Le terrain est entièrement clos (parfait pour notre chien), on peut y garer 3 à 4 voitures.
La piscine de 12 mètres est parfaite pour y nager avec un accès facile par pédiluve. Attention toutefois elle n'est pas sécurisée pour les jeunes enfants !
Une table de ping-pong, des jeux d'enfants, sont présents sous les pins, 1 BBQ et 2 fours à pizza sont à l'extérieur.
On peut manger à 8 confortablement à l'extérieur (sous la tonnelle ou sur la terrasse dominant la piscine) comme à l'intérieur.
La maison est grande, bien entretenue et assez bien équipée. Il manque toutefois des prises électriques dans la petite chambre de 2 lits simple, il n'y a pas de grille pain, cafetière simple à filtre ou à l'italienne.
Le WiFi fonctionne très bien, et la télévision (écran plat dans le salon / salle à manger) est câblée.
Vous y trouverez 2 salles de bains avec WC (1 à l'étage avec baignoire et 1 au RDC avec douche à l'italienne).
Les chambres doubles (1 en RDC et 2 à l'étage en plus de la petite chambre) sont assez grandes et confortables (certains matelas à ressorts sont peut être trop ferme et nécessiteraient des surmatelas).
Les propriétaires Sofia et Patrizio sont adorables et viennent en toute discrétion nettoyer la piscine et entretenir les fleurs tous les 2 jours.
Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour.
Parfait pour le farniente et les visites culturelles !

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Very beautiful house located near Anghiari in the low mountains (600 meters above sea level), in a pine forest, and 20 minutes by car from the superb town of Arezzo (15 minutes from several supermarkets).
Very well located for discovering the main cities of Tuscany and Umbria, 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes by car (Florence, Siena, Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio...).
Quietly located on terraced land not overlooked, starting point for beautiful mountain walks, or simply to go on foot to have a meal in the very good restaurant located right next door offering Tuscan specialties.
The property is completely enclosed (perfect for our dog), you can park 3 to 4 cars there.
The 12 meter pool is perfect for swimming with easy access by footbath. Be careful, however, it is not safe for young children!
A ping-pong table and children's games are present under the pine trees, 1 BBQ and 2 pizza ovens are outside.
8 people can eat comfortably outside (under the arbor or on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool) as well as inside.
The house is large, well maintained and quite well equipped. However, there are no electrical outlets in the small room with 2 single beds, there is no toaster, simple filter or Italian coffee maker.
The WiFi works very well, and the TV (flat screen in the living/dining room) is wired.
You will find 2 bathrooms with WC (1 upstairs with bathtub and 1 on the ground floor with walk-in shower).
The double bedrooms (1 on the ground floor and 2 upstairs in addition to the small bedroom) are quite large and comfortable (some spring mattresses may be too firm and would require mattress toppers).
The owners Sofia and Patrizio are adorable and discreetly come to clean the pool and take care of the flowers every 2 days.
We had an excellent stay there.
Perfect for relaxing and cultural visits!

The house and pool were fantastic! We had a lovely two weeks. The managers came by every few days to clean the pool and check everything was ok. The shallow 'square' end of the pool would be great for small children (though we didn't have any) and the grounds were a delight. We only had the lower two floors (the upper ones aren't rented separately) but it would be brilliant for a larger family or two families with the whole house. We didn't want to leave. Thank you!
