Villa Gardenia is a beautiful farmhouse located at the foot of Cortona, an ancient town of Etruscan origin, and today one of the most beautiful and fascinating of Italy.
The complex is composed of a large farmhouse dating back to 1300, carefully restored by the owners and divided into 5 apartments furnished in classic Tuscan style.

Each apartment has its own entrance and is equipped with kitchen and all the comforts. The apartments are spacious and comfortable and can accommodate a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 5 people, for a total of 20 sleeping accommodation.
The apartments have all been decorated in typical Tuscan style, with visible wooden ceilings beams and cotto tiled floors. The atmosphere is complemented by a decor consisting of important furniture made of cedar wood and features glass cabinets and sofas.
The beds are manufactured in wrought iron, inlaid with colored drawings.

At guests' disposal:
Outside, the villa overlooks a large garden, dominated by the beautiful swimming pool for common use 5x12 (maximum depth 2.00 meters, complete with outdoor shower) ideal for swimming and relaxing while enjoying the peace of the Tuscan countryside.

The exterior also features a large brick porch with a barbecue for al fresco dining in the name of gastronomic delights of Tuscany.

Cortona is medieval walled town perched on a hilltop overlooking the typical and lovely Tuscan landscape of rolling green hills and lush farmland plains of the region. One of the most undeniably picturesque destinations in all of Tuscany, it is the idyllic setting of the beloved book and film, “Under the Tuscan Sun.” With origins dating all the way back to the Etruscans and the Romans, it is steeped in history and tradition and is remarkably well-preserved. Merely wandering around the historic centre is a pleasant activity that could well occupy an entire day but in addition to the charming surroundings and aesthetic of this ancient citadel, there is an array of incredible museums in the town. Cortona boasts a City Museum, library, Museum of the Accademia Etrusca (MAEC), and Etruscan Academy Art Gallery (home to works by a variety of Tuscan and local artists from the 13th to the 17th century, such as Pinturicchio, Signorelli, Taddeo Gaddi, Spinello Aretino, Piazzetta and more) all located in the beautiful Palazzo Casali. Another fascinating museum in town is the Diocesan Museum and there are a number of gorgeous churches, including the Church of Santa Maria Nuova built according the design of famous 16th century architect Giorgio Vasari.

Each summer, the picturesque city of Cortona in Tuscany has a calender of events re-enacting medieval traditions through May and June. At the centre of these is the Giostra dell'Archidado, or the Archidado Joust, which takes place on the second Sunday of June. Existing since the Middle Ages and created officially in 1397, it commemorates the wedding of Francesco Casali, Lord of Cortona, to Antonia Salimbeni, a noblewoman from Siena. During the festival, the city streets are decorated with banners and flags and are given a medieval flare. The music of trumpets and drums resounds and stalls selling food, drink and crafts are set up. Medieval markets are also present on certain days.
