Villa Poggino is a beautiful, independent holiday villa with a private pool, located near the charming town of Buonconvento, 25 km south of Siena. The villa has been recently renovated and offers every comfort to its guests. As it is positioned on the top of a hill, the villa has a 360-degree view over the land below and the result is a stunning panorama. The vills is comfortably furnished and offers an interesting combination of antique and modern pieces. In keeping with Tuscan tradition, the villa has terracotta tile floors and exposed wooden beams.
Outside you will find a beautiful swimming pool and a large area partially paved and partially covered in lawn. This lovely rental is ideal for anyone in search of tranquillity and the opportunity to spend time outdoors.
The location of this villa is excellent as it allows guests to experience the beauty of the surrounding area and visit some of the most important places of interest that Tuscany has to offer.
The owners (who are always available for any advice or help they can offer to guests) live on a farm, approximately 1km from the house.
Within the property grounds you have the opportunity to interact with animals from the farm; donkeys, horses, and Tuscan Cinta Senese pigs.
A 900 m long dirt road leads to the property and the last 100 m is a lovely avenue lined by cypress trees.
Distances: Ponte d’Arbia offering food shops is 2,5 km away, Buonconvento (6 km) offers a larger variety of shops and a train station, Montalcino 15 km, Monteoliveto Maggiore Abbey 16 km, Siena 25 km, Bagno Vignoni 28 km, Pienza 31 km, Montepulciano 45 km, San Casciano dei Bagni (renowned for its thermal spas) 70 km, Florence at 80 km.
Available to guests: Large furnished garden, private pool (14 x 6 m - depth 1,5m – open from 01/04 to 31/10), large furnished porch area ideal for eating outside (opposite the porch area there is a wood-burning oven).
The villa has free WI-FI throughout. There is also air-conditioning in every room. Laundry room.
Extra Services: Housekeeper available at a cost of € 12,- / an hour (paid onsite). If desired it is possible to organise having dinner at the property, allowing you to try typical local dishes. Horse riding trips can also be planned.
Pets are permitted however no more than two and each pet is charged as a € 50,- extra per week.
