Il Poderuccio is thoughtfully divided into 2 independent houses designed to offer guests greater privacy, and together they can accommodate up to a maximum of 17 guests across 10 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. The main structure is further subdivided into 2 apartments that are not internally connected, referred to as House A and House B. House A occupies 2 floors: on the ground floor, a spacious room with a fireplace is divided into a living area and a dining room with an open-plan kitchen, accompanied by a twin bedroom with 2 single joinable beds and a bathroom with shower. On the first floor, 3 double bedrooms are each appointed with their own en suite bathroom with shower. A cornerstone of the ancient Medici lineage, the Villa incorporates an 11th-century Ubaldina tower and was chosen by Lorenzo the Magnificent as a hunting lodge. After passing through the Gherardi family, the property was acquired by the Bolognese de' Bianchi family. Major restorations were initiated in 1898 by Count Filippo Sassoli de' Bianchi to restore its 15th-century appearance, despite significant 18th-century refurbishments, including the still-consecrated Chapel dated 1729. The ground floor additionally houses 2 double bedrooms, each with a private bathroom with a shower, and provides access to the garden corner with views of Chiusi. On the first floor, accessed through a charming loggia, there is a spacious living room, a kitchenette equipped with a dishwasher and 2 ovens, 2 double bedrooms each with a private bathroom with a shower, and 2 double or twin bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Casale Aiola is an old stone farmhouse divided into two parts. In one part of the house lives the owner who, with his discreet presence, will be a sure reference point for any need.
The farmhouse is located about 25 km from the beautiful Cortona, in Tuscany and about 15 km from the village of Trestina, in Umbria. You can do your shopping in either Cortona or Trestina, both of which have shops, supermarkets and services.
From here you have easy access to green Umbria, with its small villages nestled in the lush hills and bucolic landscapes of Lake Trasimeno, Perugia is only 60 km away.
Similarly, once you have reached Cortona, the splendid towns and cities of southern Tuscany will open up for you to discover. From Cortona to the farmhouse the road is perhaps a little long, even though it is all paved. But once you are there you will be rewarded with the absolute tranquillity of the place.
In our opinion Casale Aiola is definitely suitable for groups of families with children. The large green space around the house is perfect for the little ones to run and play in the middle of nature. Also available, in front of the house, is a children's swimming pool (size m. 4x8 - depth 0.60 m. - open from 15 May to 30th September), table tennis, table football, children's games and a bowling green. The 8 bedroom Villa Sant’Angelo is immersed in the enchanting Tuscany hills. It’s an old country manor which once belonged to the noble family of Conti Ghezzi who loved to spend their holidays here.
Recently restored it has managed to maintain its original charm thanks to the rare finishings: antique wooden beams, terracotta tiles, stone fireplaces in the large rooms, choice of colours and the very large illuminated environment.
The furniture has been carefully chosen, both functional and comfortable, but distinguishable with the elegant Tuscany classical style furniture which can be found in most homes today.
