The villa was fabulous, loads of room, to die for views, well thought out outside seating, great pool. We had nothing to complain about!
As is often the case the access track is fairly rough but only a low sports car would struggle getting up there. Very well equipped supermarkets 3km drive away in Borgo, would recommend the Co-op. Also a direct train to Florence from the station.

Claudia and Leonardo were great hosts, very nice and welcoming. Everything was just perfect. The house was super clean and cosy. This place was exactly what all family needed. Very quiet and relaxing. Great decoration with tuscany character. We took advantage of the well equipped kitchen and incredible outside area. The views were stunning overlooking Tuscany with a pool to hang at to enjoy the beautiful day. It was great place for excellent hiking and to visit best places in Tuscany: Florence, Siena, Chianti region.... and many more. Lovely medieval village next to it to visit . We will definitely remember this for a long long time. Thank you both for having us. Kisses for Bianca !

Perfect place for a calm rest. Nice situated between within a wineyard, quiet , 1 hour walking distance (through a forest )to the beautiful small village Montecarlo to buy the everyday things, war in an restaurant or enjoy a coffee. The house is absolutely well equipped, has nice and comfortable furniture, good beds, 2 excellent bahrooms. Everything in really good style.

25 minutes to Lucca, about an hour to Pisa, 30 min to lovely Pistoia or Vinci.

Wir bewohnten Villa Dante 3 für 2 Wochen. Bei der Anfahrt hatten wir Probleme das Ferienhaus zu finden , brauchten 45 Minuten um das Ziel zu erreichen. Die Wegbeschreibung müsste man etwas präzisieren und eine Skizze beifügen, da das Navi einen anderen Weg vorschlägt. Am ersten Abend fiel der Strom kurzfristig aus, dieses konnte aber schnell behoben werden . Am zweiten Tag , an dem es heftig regnete, fiel der Strom für mehrere Stunden aus, so dass man auch nicht durch das elektrische Tor auf das Grundstück kam. Die Eigentümerin erklärte, dass dieses ein regionales Problem sei und beauftragte einen Monteur den Stromausfall zu beheben. Abends um 22 Uhr hatten wir dann mit kurzen Unterbrechungen wieder Strom. In der restlichen Zeit klappte es mit dem Strom. Im Haus konnte man in Paterre und in der oberen Etage nicht gleichzeitig duschen, da der Wasserdruck vom Warmwasser nicht ausreichte. Morgens musste man auf der Treppe die Ameisen zusammenfegen, die wahrscheinlich vom oberen Deckenbalken über Nacht herunterfielen (teilweise tot, teilweise lebend), dieses konnten wir nicht ergründen. Das Gebäude liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend (12 km von Lucca entfernt), umringt von Olivenbäumen und Blühwiese mit schönem Blick vom Pool in das Tal, sehr erholsam. Die Zufahrt zum Gebäude könnte für tiefliegende PKW's zum Problem werden (unebener Schotterweg). Der Vermieterin (sehr freundlich) war immer daran gelegen, die Probleme schnellstmöglich zu beheben - sie war auch immer kurzfristig erreichbar.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We lived in Villa Dante 3 for 2 weeks. When we arrived we had problems to find the house, took 45 minutes to reach the destination. The directions would have to be specified and a sketch attached, as the GPS proposes a different way.
On the first evening, the power went out for a short while, but this could be fixed quickly. On the second day, when it rained heavily, the power went out for several hours, so you could not get through the electric gate on the property. The owner explained that this was a regional problem and instructed a technician to fix the power failure. At 22 o'clock in the evening we had electricity again with short breaks. The rest of the time it worked with the stream.
In the house you could not shower at the same time in ground floor and in the upper floor, because the water pressure from the hot water was not enough. In the morning we had to sweep the ants together on the stairs, which probably fell down from the upper beam overnight (partly dead, partly alive), we could not understand the reason for this.
The building is located in a very quiet area (12 km from Lucca), surrounded by olive trees and flowering meadows with a beautiful view from the pool in the valley, very relaxing. Access to the building could be a problem for low-lying cars (uneven dirt road). The landlady (very friendly) was always anxious to fix the problems as quickly as possible - she was always available even at short notice.

Ein wunderschönes Haus in fantastischer Lage zum entspannen und wohlfühlen. Die Vermieterin ist total lieb und freundlich und wir werden diese Unterkunft in Naher Zukunft bestimmt wieder einmal buchen.

A delightful very rural steep mountainside villa attached to a larger rental property and with another rental property on the same site.
Spectacular views from the patio/verandah.
However one very major drawback - the villa is 20 minutes from the road in the valley up an extremely steep and winding narrow road. The villa is not adequately signposted and impossible to find at night. Then, through some electrically operated gates up a precipitously steep stony rough track for 300 metres with hairpin bends. We had two accidents in our rented car on this track, hitting the close stone walls on two occasions and creating a £170 excess on our insurance.
The stress caused by the daily journeys down and up this track was considerable and spoilt our week in an otherwise wonderful part of Italy.

Picturesque setting! But beware it will take you at least 20 minutes to get to any store, coffee, etc... Accommodations were nice but the beds are really not comfortable. It is 2 hours from Florence, 2 1/2 hrs from Pisa & Lucca, 4 hrs from the Milan airport. It is very very hard to find. We tried to find it in the evening. We spent 4 hours driving around in circles even with the driving instructions. I phone & car GPS couldn’t find the address. Google maps loaded the address but not great instructions. We finally gave up at 2:30 in the morning & went to a hotel. There was this narrow dirt road .with a sign hidden in the trees to the left of a iron double gates that was the driveway to the house. There is no way to turn around on the road once you are on it.
Unfortunately it rained & was cold but it was colder in the house then outside. We had to text her to turn the heat on. One night she didn’t get the text & we frozen. Internet barely works . My daughter needed to get her school work done & couldn’t connect unfortunately.
Cleaning fee was suppose to be $100 but the owner tried to charge us $160. She corrected once we showed her our contract. $100 was steep because all she had to do was clean the bathroom & change 2 beds. The house was clean but not spotless.
There is a great outlet mall in town. No great restaurants nearby. Everything always seemed closed.
The owner is nice & came to meet us so that we could find the house. There are no road signs with street names. There is another property with this same name in the same town. Looks different.

This a beautiful property!!! There is a great view from every window in the house. I did a lot of research before selecting this property and I’m so glad I did. I highly recommend it.
