We had a wonderful week at Tenuta Il Tresto. I wanted to stay in Tuscany but preferred not to drive. I chose Poggibonsi as a central town to many others from which we could travel to by bus or train. This worked very well, however I must say my friend and I are walkers. Tenuta Il Tresto is about 30 minutes walk from the train station, and is on a hill so going down was easier. It is fine if you have a car and the roads were good and the traffic not nearly as bad as I experienced on the coast in Italy previously.
Our stay was fantastic. Host Gabriel collected us from the train station and showed us around.
The apartment is rustic, not high on mod-cons, but has everything you need. Two spacious double bedrooms, a living area, bathroom and a kitchen where we cooked on a few nights. Breakfast was offered in the dining room in another building which was beautiful. A buffet continental breakfast, and the lovely Nicoletta made omelettes to order, and great coffee. We had this a few mornings. We also had a lovely dinner there on our first night which can be done by arrangement. Laundry facilities are available for a small charge.
The grounds are beautiful, everything I dreamed of in a Tuscan property – various old buildings set amongst gorgeous gardens, vineyards, olive trees, fruit trees and a pool.
We travelled to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni, all day trips by train or bus, or could be done by car. The town of Poggibonsi, despite being bombed during World War 2, still retains some of its old buildings, and was good to walk around.
Gabriel and Nicoletta were very friendly and welcoming hosts. (We didn’t meet Martina).Gabriel took us back to the train station when we left, dropped us at a restaurant one night when we couldn’t get a taxi – and if you need one try Gianni on 0039 339 4497 423 – a very helpful taxi driver who spoke English. Also Marco 0039 339 899 8667.
We dined out in Poggibonsi twice – one night we tried to go to Osteria da Camillo, which was recommended to us, but it was closed so we went to the bar/restaurant opposite it. I can’t remember its name but it was very nice. We also had an amazing night at Al Cassero Osteria which is set in a castle on a hill. The food was fantastic, the staff so friendly and helpful, great views – our best meal while we were away- very special.
I highly recommend Tenuta Il Tresto. We did not want to leave.

Quercia Al Poggio was a fabulous find and perfect central location in the Tuscany region. The owner and staff were top notch and helpful with everything we needed. I planned my small wedding ceremony at the property and everything came together perfectly, thanks to the owner and her staff. I can not express enough greatness for this place. Our cappella's terrace had the most amazing view and the unit was sufficient in size. This is a must for anyone looking for a great experience in Italy. Thank you to Michela, Margit, Giordana and all the staff. It was an unforgettable vacation with great memories. Grazie!!

Das Ferienhaus ist perfekt ausgestattet, die Bilder der website geben den tatsächlichen Zustand wieder. Die Einrichtung ist modern und komfortabel. Der Blick vom Balkon in der zweiten Etage (Schlafzimmer) ist wunderbar. Wir haben uns hauptsächlich im unteren Bereich (Küche und Terrasse vor dem Eingang aufgehalten). Restaurants gibt es im Dörfchen Villa a Sesta (Empfehlung Osteria alla Villa), in Castelnuovo Berardenga und Pianella. Für Ausflüge ist das Ferienhaus ideal gelegen. Siena ist ca. 25 km entfernt (Parkplatz unterhalb der Basilica di San Francesco mit Rolltreppen zur Altstadt). Florenz etwa 80 km (Parkplatz Piazzale Michelangelo - super Blick auf Florenz, man kann den Parkautomaten für mehrere Stunden füttern). Andere lohnende Ausflugsziele: Castellina, Pienza, Perugia/Assisi.
Alles in allem war es ein perfekter Aufenthalt, der Empfang durch Cecilia sehr freundlich, sie hat uns alles ausführlich gezeigt und erklärt. Auf uns haben bei Ankunft Wein, Obst, Saft, Wasser und ein Kuchen erwartet. Tutto ottimo! Grazie mille.

The holiday home is perfectly equipped, the pictures of the website reflect the actual condition. The decor is modern and comfortable. The view from the balcony on the second floor (bedroom) is wonderful. We have mainly lived in the lower area (kitchen and terrace in front of the entrance). Restaurants are to be found in the village of Villa a Sesta (recommendation Osteria alla Villa), in Castelnuovo Berardenga and Pianella. The house is ideal for excursions. Siena is about 25 km away (parking under the Basilica di San Francesco with escalators to the old town). Florence about 80 km (parking Piazzale Michelangelo - great view of Florence, you can pay the parking for several hours). Other worthwhile excursion destinations: Castellina, Pienza, Perugia / Assisi.
All in all it was a perfect stay, the reception by Cecilia was very friendly, she has shown us and explained everything in detail. On arrival we were welcomed with wine, fruit, juice, water and a cake. Tutto ottimo! Grazie mille.

Torre Del Cielo is a beautiful and very well equipped villa to stay.
It has everything you would need for a very nice and relaxing holiday. It is also very child friendly.
Supermarkets and restaurants are in easy reach and a very short drive.

We held a family reunion at La Rocca in May and found the villa to be just breathtaking. After a long journey to the villa, we arrived to a delectable spread to satisfy our hunger. An unexpected touch. Each day, the servers clean-up the kitchen and all the dishes and attend to the bedrooms, so it offers the service of a hotel. The property care taker was so attentive to all of our needs and was at our disposal the whole week. The town is easily accessed and features 2 excellent fine dining restaurants (Ristorante Osteria del Merlo & Osteria Vecchia da Nilo) and one of the best pizzerias (Pizza e Hamburger da Nilo) we have come by over the three trips we have made to Italy over the years. Order the Diavolo Pizza - it is the best! Lots of charming shops to visit including a wine tasting shop with incredible cheese and olives. Oh, and the best Gelateria too (Gran Caffè Cavour)! This town is a foodies' haven.
CONS: Not a heated pool. The villa should consider a solar blanket. We kept running out of TP, so more supplies in the ensuites would be a plus. That's all. Everything else was perfection. It was the most memorable stay we have had in Italy ever!

Wir hatten Mitte Mai eine traumhafte Woche in der CASA OLIVIA. Wir wurden herzlich von einer tollen Gastgeberin empfangen, die uns immer mit guten Tipps und Ratschlägen zur Seite stand. Die großzügige Wohnung befindet sich im ersten Stock eines riesigen Steinhauses und ist absolut geschmackvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet. Große bequeme Betten, moderne Bäder, eine riesige perfekt ausgestattete Küche und ein riesiges Wohn- und Esszimmer mit kamin. Man kann aber auch ganz gemütlich in der Küche sitzen und essen. Wir haben mehrmals ein Feuer in dem gut funktionierenden Kamin gemacht und dafür immer reichlich trockenes Holz auf dem großen Grundstück gefunden. Sonst hätte es aber auch Holzvorräte direkt vor dem Haus gegeben. Das Haus ist in einem top Zustand, war super sauber und wurde während unseres Aufenthalts noch zweimal geputzt. Der Pool ist ebenfalls groß und traumhaft gelegen und ist natürlich noch ein zusätzliches Highlight des Hauses. Obwohl die Vermieterfamilie mit auf dem Grundstück lebt waren wir sowohl im Haus als auch am Pool die ganze Zeit über völlig ungestört. Der nächste kleine Supermarkt ist in Piazze nur 3km entfernt und ein größerer in Fabro in 11km Entfernung. Fazit: Traumhaus, mit tollem Pool und hervorragender Ausstattung in großartiger Umgebung. Das alles noch gepaart mit tollen Gastgebern und vielen tollen Ausflugszielen in der Nahe Umgebung. Und fällt nichts ein, was hier noch besser sein könnte. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
We had a fantastic week in May in the CASA OLIVIA. We were greeted warmly by a great hostess who always gave us good tipps and advice. The spacious apartment is on the first floor of a huge stone house and is absolutely tasteful and high quality furnished. Large comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, a huge perfectly equipped kitchen and a huge living and dining room with fireplace. But you can also sit comfortably in the kitchen and eat. We have several times made a fire in the well functioning fireplace and always found ample dry wood on the large property. Otherwise, however, there would have been wood supplies right in front of the house. The house is in a top condition, was super clean and was cleaned twice during our stay. The pool is also large and fantastically located and is of course still an additional highlight of the house. Although the landlord family lived on the property we were in the house as well as at the pool all the time over completely undisturbed. The nearest small supermarket is in Piazze only 3km away and a larger one in Fabro at 11km distance. Conclusion: dream house, with great pool and excellent facilities in great surroundings.
All this still paired with great hosts and many great excursions in the surrounding area. And there is nothing that could be better. We would love to come back!

Very nice and calm place. Well maintained enviroment around the Villa. Big rooms with very big bathrooms, specialy the suite. Rosado and his father are very friendly and helpful. Perfect stay for 12 people. Nice pool area.

Es handelt sich bei diesem Objekt um ein im 17. Jahrhundert gebautes Haus mit einer langen Geschichte. Es wurde immer wieder saniert und teilweise auch etwas verbaut, weil die Besitzer zwischendurch die alte Bauweise nicht zu schätzen wussten. Die Einrichtung spiegelt den alten Charme wider. Jedes Zimmer hat seinen eigenen Charme. Der Garten ist sehr groß und schön angelegt. Neben einem Pool und Whirlpool gibt es auch eine Tischtennisplatte und einen Grillplatz. Das Anwesen liegt auf einem Hügel mit Blick auf Montepulciano. Die Umgebung des Hauses ist traumhaft für Gruppen, die Entspannung suchen und die Zeit miteinander genießen wollen.
