We absolutely LOVED our stay! Barbara and Stefano go above and beyond to ensure that each guest feels special. They pay great attention to detail, and do everything from offering a cooking class on-site to making day trip suggestions and dinner reservations. They really make you feel like you are part of their family (and their mother is just delightful). The property is absolutely beautiful and has easy highway access. We would highly recommend Villa Rosa dei Venti and we hope to return next year!

The villa is impeccably kept and in a beautiful, quiet setting in gently rolling hills. We've stayed twice now and will stay again. Francesco, the owner, is a perfect host. Always helpful, concerned as a friend that your stay is everything you wish it to be. He speaks perfect English so we had no concerns there. The view from the private pool is exquisite; the evenings are every bit as enchanting as you'd imagine. Three big bedrooms. Plus another bedroom with two beds. And a loft that my nephew took immediately. Great place for a group from 7 to 10. You'll definitely need a car & the drive up (first time) the private road leads you to fields of olives and grape vines. The visit to the Piazzano wine farm shouldn't be missed... people are wonderful there as well. And don't miss the building we call the castle!! :) Such a beautiful place... a home. The villa is very close on to Empoli and only a few minutes from the Empoli train station, where access to Florence is simple and fast. Empoli has a massive COOP (mall with supermarket and dozens of stores). Villa Somelli is a perfect choice for those wanting to relax and have the art of Florence, the beauty of San Gimignano and the beaches at Viareggio all within a hour by car or train. Can't wait until we return!

a wonderful place with very helpful staff. well located. the only issue we had was the apartments have no terrace or place to easily sit outside. You have to leave the apartment and go down to the garden. Not a major issue but something to be aware of.

Staying at Villa Monteluce, also referred to as Borgo Monteluce and Casale Monteluce was not a pleasant experience for us to say the least. The location was great, views of the lake were nice, the buildings on site were pretty but that's about it. Proximity to the town of Passignano was good. The property however was not maintained well at all. The steps, walkways and courtyards needed to be swept of gravel and plant debris and the landscape was very weedy. The property was very untidy and unkempt. There were bugs everywhere outside and inside the unit (centipedes, ants, spiders, flies, wasps) and got stung several times by wasps. We could not enjoy the patio or the pool because of the wasps. We could not even open the windows and doors for some air because of the bug issue which made for an extremely hot and muggy unit and several sleepless nights. Kitchen was poorly stocked with kitchenware. Bathroom was tiny. Bedroom size was decent but top cover tattered and torn. It's as if the owners really don't care to have guests stay there. Not surprisingly this entire complex was empty in the middle of July. I have stayed at various agriturismi in Tuscany and Umbria so I have a benchmark and this did not meet my expectations at all. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone, nor would I return.

Looks just like the pictures. Clean, very spacious and comfortable, gorgeous property. Access to Borgo Scopeto Relais for use of amenities (hotel facilities - pool, spa, wifi, restaurant) was an added bonus we learned about upon our arrival. Very close to Ponte Bozzone for restaurants if you are staying local for the day. The pool was lovely, unfortunately it rained, so we didn't get to take advantage.

We had a wonderful holiday at Le Rondini in July 2014. The property is a classic rustic villa with a great pool and well maintained grounds. It comfortably accommodated our group of 17 in clean and tidy bedrooms, and with more than enough bathrooms to go round. The kitchen was well set up to cater for a large group and the upstairs open balcony was an excellent spot for lunch on a hot afternoon. The owner was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The location is fantastic, close to the beautiful town of Lucignano and in the middle of beautiful Tuscan countryside - but only 5 mins from a supermarket and outlet shopping at Valdichiana. We would love to return to Le Rondini and would happily recommend it to friends and family.
