Pool at Villa Fabbroni
So far in our Villa Spotlight, we have covered large luxury villas, affordable country villas, and opulent palazzos. Over the next few days we will be covering a large multi-unit villa, where your family could rent out a part of the villa fit for only a handful of people or just as easily rent out the entire residence. Multi-unit villa rentals can be ideal for many travelers, who may not need a gigantic palace in which to reside but do not want the crammed in feeling of a hotel. Another advantage of a multi-unit villa is when you have rented one large villa for 30 or more people and you'd like your own private space in the evening. Villa Fabbroni can accommodate up to 36 people, broken into five separate units.
View at Villa Fabbroni
“Villa Fabbroni is a paradise for city-weary travelers. Spectacular views, kind and helpful hosts, and a variety of Tuscany's best offerings within reach. “
Lisa from Wyandotte, Michigan

Villa Fabbroni is in San Polo in Chianti, a small frazioni of Greve in Chianti that is near Florence. Fabbroni has an interesting and unique history to it, with origins dating back to Ancient Rome. Though none of the original structure still stands, the location was picked by a Roman Centurion who was given a large area of land as his retirement after his military career. He built his house on a hill and a structure has been there ever since.
Il Portico
"What can I say about Sergio and Stephano?? To say they are the absolute best hosts you would wish and hope for is an understatement! We rented the entire villa and had our wedding there. It was the greatest time of our lives and all who attended agree we were treated like royalty. We came based on a leap of faith and departed with a lifetime of memories and life long friends.

- Charlene D. - North Wales, PA"

In the Middle Ages the Buondelmonti family obtained the house and added to the building; some of these additions are still standing and are the oldest parts of the property. Eventually the property came to Count Fabbroni and his family, and the house was again renovated and made into a hunting cottage that entertained the likes of King Vittorio Emanuele II during his reign over the Kingdom of Italy.

A private terrace attached to the unit has comfortable patio furniture to enjoy the view from your apartment. Gorgeous wooden beam ceilings accentuate the antique furniture in the apartment, and create a great environment for two couples traveling through Tuscany.
