
One of the more frequent questions we hear is, “What are some activities for children in Tuscany?” So you have rented your self-catering villa or apartment and you have access to a pool to keep the little ones entertained for part of the time, but what do you DO all day?
Aside from the culture you hope they absorb touring the museums and ruins, here are few unique ways for kids, as well as parents, to experience Tuscany and its surroundings.

Aquarium of Genova is the the largest in Italy and second largest in all of Europe. It's a bit out of the way but only a 2 hour drive from Pisa and you can spend a wonderful fun filled day learning about various creatures of the deep.
If you’re in Florence you can take a carriage ride around the Duomo and then rub the nose of ‘il porcellino’ for luck! For fun in Pisa, take the kids the tower, they will be amazed at its size and will love climbing in it. Get there early to beat the lines!
