Enjoy Your Easter Vacation In Tuscany!

Easter is a big calendar event in Tuscany so why not do something different and celebrate it over here with us! There are lots of events and venues for you to choose from on your arrival and you can be sure that the weather will be warm for your holiday. Choose from an extensive range of gorgeous Tuscany holiday villas across the region where you will be close to the Easter festivities!

In Bibbona town, witness the exciting Palio delle Botti which takes place during the Easter celebrations where neighbouring towns come together to race wine barrels down a hill!

Or visit the artistic city of Florence where many superb events take place, including the ‘Exploding Cart’ which is hosted outside the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore during the 11am mass. A fantastic fireworks display lasts for twenty minutes as the bells ring and people celebrate the new calendar year of the Catholic Church.

Head to Pisa city where many wonderful events take place in Piazza dei Miracoli beside the magnificent Baptistery and the famous leaning tower. Or visit Grassina Town in the province of Florence where a huge historical re-enactment of the Passion of Christ is played out by over one hundred actors and the local townspeople.

Many Easter markets are held through Tuscany on Easter Monday, also known as ‘Pasquetta’. The Chianti region in particular is popular among visitors at this time of year as they can choose from a colourful array of fine wines and food delicacies to bring home as souvenirs of an excellent Easter holiday!

Savour some traditional Easter food including roast lamb with a ricotta, spinach and egg tart. Finish off this mouth watering food with a generous slice of dove shaped Easter fruit cake and a hearty glass of red wine. There’s no finer way to celebrate this uplifting festival than in Tuscany!
