Cabbiavoli Castle, built on the ancient Via Francigena connecting France to Rome, dates back to 1210, when the Alberti Counts of Certaldo built a castle in the area.

Over time, it was transformed into the elegant 17th century country mansion that stands today, though traces of the original 13th century fortified castle remain. In the 20th century, it came into the possession of the Puccioni family and Cesare and Cecilia Puccioni have personally overseen the restoration of the Castle. The Castle has been completely restored whilst maintaining its historic spirit and atmosphere and can easily accommodate 12 people in luxurious comfort. In front of the villa is a large garden with a breathtaking view over the fertile countryside below, with a staircase leading down to the swimming pool. Special features include the Limonaia (Lemon House) that has been converted into a sitting room, the 13th century chapel, 18th century wine press and cellar, jacuzzi, maid service and more. Pretty and drenched in history, this property is available from €1178 per night.
