Still More Of Our Most Beautifully Decorated Villas In Tuscany

Rocca di Cetona, salon
In our final post in this series, we have two more of our most beautifully decorated vacation rentals in Tuscany. Both of these properties are historic beauties with interiors plucked right from a period movie.

9. Rocca di Cetona

The noble residence "Rocca di Cetona" is set majestically atop of a hill with commanding views over the Chiana Valley, surrounded by the historic town of Cetona. The property has Etruscan roots as three towers, one of which remains. This tower is incorporated in a later 17th century villa and is surrounded by 2 acres of parkland. It is a true architectural gem with more than two thousand years of history but has been carefully restored to ensure a comfortable stay today.

Inside, the property is luxurious, with lots of elegant details such as the grand entrance hall with its imposing crystal chandelier, a grand piano, a well-equipped kitchen, the grand staircase in Travertine marble, a library, a separate unit with its own sauna, endless original antiques and plenty of rich rugs and artworks. In addition to this there are the park-like gardens with flowers and olive groves, the private pool, maid services and Cetona is only 400m away. With 7 bedrooms and grand interiors, Villa Rocca di Cetona is the perfect setting for weddings and other events but also makes for a stunning location to get away with the extended family and is available from €1142 per night.

10. Castello Di Cabbiavoli (No longer available)

Cabbiavoli Castle, built on the ancient Via Francigena connecting France to Rome, dates back to 1210, when the Alberti Counts of Certaldo built a castle in the area.
Castello Di Cabbiavoli
Over time, it was transformed into the elegant 17th century country mansion that stands today, though traces of the original 13th century fortified castle remain. In the 20th century, it came into the possession of the Puccioni family and Cesare and Cecilia Puccioni have personally overseen the restoration of the Castle. The Castle has been completely restored whilst maintaining its historic spirit and atmosphere and can easily accommodate 12 people in luxurious comfort. In front of the villa is a large garden with a breathtaking view over the fertile countryside below, with a staircase leading down to the swimming pool. Special features include the Limonaia (Lemon House) that has been converted into a sitting room, the 13th century chapel, 18th century wine press and cellar, jacuzzi, maid service and more. Pretty and drenched in history, this property is available from €1178 per night.

Of course, there are many, many more beautiful properties among our vacation rentals in Tuscany so be sure to browse them or contact us and find the perfect one for you.
