Review Details:
My husband and I stayed in this lovely apartment in Palaia for eight days in September. It was everything it is advertised to be, and more.

Our hosts Enrico and Donatella were lovely, and met us with a warm welcome even when we arrived early, with a beautiful apple cake and ingredients for dinner the first night, along with instructions, keys and a tour of the apartment. The wifi modem had a bit of a problem and Enrico was over immediately to provide an alternate modem for us to use wifi while we were in Palaia.

It is an easy drive to San Gimignano, Volterra, and the train station in Pontedera for a day trip to Florence. We had a great walk to Montofoscoli one day, and were fortunate to be in Palaia for the Medieval Festival in late September.

Comfy and roomy apartment, decorated and furnished in true Italian style with everything we needed for cooking and laundry and relaxing during our stay. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone, as long as you have a car to explore.

Review Details:
A wonderful Tuscan experience in this gorgeous house. The family /owners downstairs are lovely when you want to have a chat but you are barely aware they are there. It is very private. A short drive to San Gim and fantastic views from the house.The dinner prepared by the family after a day out was lovely. Barbara who runs the business is charming and very willing to help with anything. The working farm is interesting to walk around and we bought their olive oil to take home. Overall a A truly memorable experience. Be aware that you pay extra for heating, hot water and per person for cleaning (this should be calculated into the price).

Review Details:
We spent one week at villa Broccolo at the end of september. The villa itself met our expectations fully. The villa is well equiped, very clean (a cleaning woman called in twice during our stay)and the garden and pool area is just beautiful.
The owner is a really nice and very helpful man, even though he does't speak any english (nether we any italian).
The location is very handy as it it situated in a small village but still extremely quiet.
The only downside was the mosquitos. I am not sure if it was the time of the year or a general issue. But be well prepared...

It is not the cheapest place to stay but worth its money.

Remarkable villa, the core of which dates back to 400AD. Lovely views of Tuscan countryside: vineyards, olive groves, scattered villas & rolling hills. Large & very charming rooms; great blend of ancient & modern. Large pool & wonderful outdoor spaces. Easy car or bike access to Panzano.

Rooms are nice mix of rustic look & feel with all modern conveniences. Location provides easy car or bike access to San Gimignano. Owner/manager was wonderful -- very friendly & helpful. Setting was peaceful with lovely views of surrounding vineyards, olive groves, & villas.
