Prachtig gelegen Borgo, in de mooie heuvels rond Cortona. Uitzicht is zowel overdag als in de avond adembenemend mooi. Huis is goed ingericht en de ontvangst en begeleiding tijdens het verblijf door de eigenaren is zeer prettig. Bovendien smaakt de eigen "huis"wijn uitstekend. De omgeving leent zich bij uitstek tot het maken van trips en stedenbezoek: vooral de kleinere stadjes en dorpjes zijn zeker de moeite van een bezoek waard. Een aanrader!

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Beautifully situated Borgo in the amazing hills surrounding Cortona. The view both is breathtaking both during the days as also during the evening. The house is well decorated and the reception and support during the stay by the owner is very nice. Moreover the "house" wine has an excellent taste. The area lends itself perfectly formaking trips and visiting cities: especially the smaller towns and villages are well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay. The property was exactly as pictured. The only comment I would make is that because of so many stairs it is not a place for people with alot of luggage or someone who is not strong enough to climb stairs multiple times a day since each room basically is on a different level. We enjoyed the small town atmosphere and also the ease to travel to Florence or to visit the small towns in the region.

Antico Borgo San Lorenzo has a great location, easy to get to Siena, Volterra, San Giminano, Chianti region and also Florence ( adviseable to take the train, since parking is a problem ). Easy to get around if you have a car, shopping is good , ther is a great supermarket called PAM ! WE found a great restaurant called Il Casato about 4 KM on the way to Siena , owner recommended it , great food and service is also good.
On the property itself ( Alloro ) not bad, a bit dark and at the end of all the other apartments, it is close to the BBQ place , but nobody used it. The restaurant is nice ,but book in advance if you want to seat outside , menu is small but good.
One thing we did not like is , they give you one roll of toilet paper and that's it , you have to buy you one. We did not like that you have to pay for the internet and also for the washing , really for this prices it should be free.WIFI access only at one section of the property , which a section of the outdoor area of the restaurant and the samll cafe ! The pool is nice , but needs some repair work, our son fell on the tiles and had a deep cut , so some tile work to be done there especially the side facing up to the walkway towards the restaurant, the lining of the pool in one corner needs also to be taken care off.The owners and people there are helpful and nice.Location , location........ the best !

We hebben hier een fantastisch plekje gehad. Heel centraal voor bezoek aan Florence Sienna st Gimignano enz...Na terugkeer idiaal om rustig bij te komen van alle indrukken. Prachtig uitzicht!! zeer vriendelijke eigenaren...Het gemis van een zwembadje vonden wij niet erg. Het huis zelf is super mooi, alles antiek, erg netjes en schoon.
