Renter Rating: 5/5.
Review Details:
What an amazing place. Everything about Villa Il Nido was fantastic - including the wonderful hospitality shown to us by Paolo and his family. It is hard to put into words the extent at which this property met all our needs. The pool is gorgeous and not too cold, the bedrooms are very comfortable and lovely and cool in the heat. The kitchen and dining area are extremely well equipped and the views are breathtaking. Thank you Maria Christina for the beautiful fresh vegetables - your generosity and hospitality were appreciated and without any intrusion at all to our . Thank you - we will be back.

New Review Submitted for Le Vasche: Le Vasche 2 located in Romola, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Saturday 16th of July 2011.
Renter Rating: 4/5.
Review Details:
We stayed at this lovely agritourismo in July 2011 for one week with our 7 and 10 year old sons. Our boys enjoyed the pool and the run of the area. There were other families also staying at Le vasche which provided our boys with some much needed playmates.

It provided a good location for visiting Florence and the smaller villages in Tuscany. There are also lots of places to pick of groceries and other nearby.

The pool was especially wonderful and Maria Theresa, the owner of the farm and the person who deals with the guests, was lovely.

New Review Submitted for Villa Roncovisi located in Monsummano Terme, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Saturday 9th of July 2011.
Renter Rating: 5/5.
Review Details:
Carmine & Ana - Bloomfield, NJ. We just returned from a week at Villa Roncovisi. We were a group of 5 families. Total 19 people. We had an AWESOME time. The owners were very attentive and available for any questions or concerns. There was an air conditioner issue and it was resolved promptly. So, we didnt have to sleep in the heat. Temperatures rose to over 90 degrees F. that week, but at night the temp. was wonderful. The villa was absolutely beautiful, the antiques and furniture makes it very warm and inviting. The bathrooms were modern and clean, which is important. Who wants to hold the shower handle when washing yourself. The pool was fabulous, we literally hanged outside from morning till night. The grounds are beautiful. Also, the villa is conveniently located, you can easily visit, Florence, Pisa, Lucca and even Bologna. Bottom line, this was the best villa so far. This is our 3rd time renting villas in Italy, once in Ischia and twice in Tuscany. I Would recommend Villa Roncovisi 100%. Kudos to Ann & Alessandro for a beautiful villa.

New Review Submitted for Podere Lo Spadino located in San Gimignano, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Saturday 2nd of October 2010.
Renter Rating: 5/5.
Review Details:
This is a great villa with overwhelming views of San Gimignano and the countryside. The photos don't do it justice. The bedrooms were spacious and the living and dining area was great for the 8 of us. One of the couples renewed their vows under the outside pergola which was perfect. Barbara was a gracious host and was most helpful with directing us to grocery stores, restaurants and wineries. The house had everything you need. The American coffee pot was VERY slow but we had learned to use a French press by the time we arrived in Tuscany. Barbara also provided us with a hair dryer as we learned American hair dryers just don't work in Italy. Would love to stay here again. Just a wonderful place to stay.

New Review Submitted for Casale Del Chianti located in Castelfranco Di Sopra, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Saturday 16th of July 2011.
Renter Rating: 4/5.
Review Details:
Property is a nice converted old building and part of a "hamlet" of 4/5 properties - some of which are local working farmers who drive past in their tractors at 6am but a very quiet, peaceful setting.
Access to hamlet is down a single track un-made up road but locals can access in Ford Transit van. Locals sound horns at blind corners.
Owners details of finding property can be confusing as there are 2 "religious icons with 4 Cypress trees" on road out of Castelfranco. Keep climbing up the hill and watch out for the hair pin bend with the church approx 50m along a un-made up road to the left, (recycling bins on bend), continue past a house right on the road and property sign post is next right turn on a left hand bend (rubbish bin on corner).
The views over the olive trees are superb especially from the swimming pool area. No fence around pool and a constant depth pool - small non-swimming children may struggle but ideal for teenagers who lived in there almost every day. Large flat area around pool (with shade) for sunbathing.
Ground floor double bedroom is up 3 steps.
First floor double bedroom is easily reached from external balcony steps but internal staircase would be a bit awkward for very young or those with mobility difficulties.
3rd floor bedrooms are up another flight of steps which again are not the easiest to negotiate if very young or have mobility difficulties.
Learn where the "re-settable" fuse boxes are, as these tripped during our stay and in addition, the electricity was switched off to the region during several mornings during our stay.(need matches to light gas hob as the pizeo ignitor is run off main electricity.)
Nice table outside the kitched door to sit and enjoy the view whilst having a meal. Good sized table inside if weather was bad.
A well stocked kitchen but no kettle. 4 ring gas hob (large tap mounted on wall behind hob to switch gas on) Wood burning ovens and barbeque outside kitchen door. Microwave and toaster with plenty of ccutlery and crockery.
Lots of space inside and out with plenty of sofas and seats
Lots of hot water but we discovered that it was difficult to control water temp in downstairs shower if upstairs shower was also in use.
It is possible to walk through the olive tree fields to Castelfranco and there is a small supermarket, bakery, bank, market on Friday morning.
Ristorante Corvo on the road to Certignano is worth a visit. It looks like a house as you enter off the road down a drive but there is a covered balcony over looking the valley on the other side of the building.
If Italian city driving is not to your liking, then the train journey into Florence is very easy and cheap from nearby stations.
