Easily the best accommodation we have had on our whole trip round Italy. Lovely little property in a quiet Tuscan village, with a great welcome from beautiful hosts. What more can you expect?

We were very impressed with Casa Tonio. The house has been refurbished to a high spec and is beautifully laid out and equipped. The large pool, situated in an olive grove really makes the house as so many holiday properties have such small ones. In this one you can swim proper lengths. It is very conveniently located for Lucca and Pisa and you can walk to the local village for a meal in the evening opposite the church.

Two small things that we would have liked included better local restaurant info. The house book lists some out but they could be hit or miss in terms of quality. If there was a guest book where past guests could leave recommendations, I think it would be helpful to future guests. And the second thing was kitchen equipment. We cooked a lot. The house needs smaller pans, better cutlery, particularly sharp knives. But if you don’t cook, this won’t bother you.

We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend Casa Tonio to anyone looking for a relaxing, high quality holiday in Tuscany. We’d like to thank the owners.

Les + : La beauté de l'édifice, une vue exceptionnelle, le calme absolu, une vaste piscine et un jardin fleuri entretenus tous les 2 jours, la disponibilité des propriétaires, la proximité de Monte San Savino (15 min en voiture) pour les courses.
Les - : Une cuisine aux équipements vétustes (frigos, machines à café et à laver la vaisselle) voire défectueux (gazinière), des matelas de lits durs comme de la pierre.
C'est une villa à la localisation exceptionnelle. Nous la classons 3 étoiles sur 5 en raison d'un manque de confort sur des choses élémentaires dans la maison.

I loved the authenticity of this villa and the grounds, but window screens are needed on these villas, there is no A/C, which I could deal with in July, but the mosquitos are really bad and we were bitten badly with the windows open.
