we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Ardene. The staff were wonderful the location superb.We suggest you have them cook at least one dinner for you. Great!. The villa was a little hard to find but once there was amazingly close to Montpulciano, a wonderful hillside town. The location was close enough to a train station to get to Florence for the day. Close to other unique towns. Only comment I have is that we used up the last week before high season and the grass was not mowed until the Thursday of our stay. It just felt like they were preparing for the big money people. There were 8 of us in the group who eventually went there so we had more rooms than we needed but for 10-14 it would have been just right! There is a little grocery store a short distance from the villa that provided all the basics we needed and plenty of shops for the rest.

This was our fourth stay in San Gimignano area and definitely the best of all. Podere lo Spadino (which we rent for the first time) is a magnificent place. The panoramic view is second to none. Spectacular! You see the towers in the distance, you can observe the vineyards, the cypress hills and the olive trees for hours. The house is spacious and cosy at the same time. There's everything you need for a tranquil vacation (anytime I met the owner Maris in the yard, he would smile and say: "Tranquillo, e?") Yes, it is. Speaking about the hosts, they are charming, ready to help you any time. For our farewell dinner Barbara and Antonella cooked for us some very delicious meals using products from their own garden and their farm. I would recommend Lo Spadino to anyone who wants to feel the real Tuscany experience. Thank you, Montagnani family. Thank you, Easyreserve.

Tranquil splendid hideaway only minutes from Greve in Chianti. A well kept and cozy house just like we had hoped for. All facilities available in and around the house. We cooked great meals as well as dined at great recommendations left by the house owner. Certainly a place to return to.
