This resort is in a good quiet location close to San Gimignano. The staff were very helpful. Wi-fi connection was weak at times. They provided very little for the renters. For example, there was no complimentary tea, coffee or condiments like salt or sugar.

Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner and pleased to find the apartment was very clean, neat and spacious.
The owner resides on the premises and was very accommodating answering all of our questions and we had everything we needed. The view of San Gimignano was amazing and the proximity for hiking as well as walks into town was perfect. In short, our time spent at Poggetto Di Montese was memorable and we would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

We had a very nice time in Alice. We stayed there for a week with 6 adults and 3 children. It is a nice, large, house, with a very pleasant,large garden and a nice swimmingpool. It's is very central in Toscany, which makes it easy to visit Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa.

Wir als Gruppe mit 18 Personen sind mit unseren Oldtimer-Motorrädern auf Anhängern gekommen und hatten Schwierigkeiten, die zuletzt steile Naturstraße zum Parkplatz zu kommen. Am Parkplatz war genug Platz für alle 7 Autos mit Anhängern vorhanden. Das Haus ist sehr alt, ist auch alt eingerichtet und hat zu unserem Glück einen großen offenen Kamin - wir hatten leider Pech mit dem Wetter! In der Küche gefiel uns der riesige Gasherd mit Backofen am besten, wo wir täglich kochten. Für 18 Personen war auch ausreichend Platz am riesigen Esstisch und im gesamten Wohnbereich, einschließlich dem Klavierzimmerchen. Die Zimmer sind teilweise hell, aber es gibt auch ziemlich dunkle Zimmer - die zum Wald hin. Leider war bei Übernahme des Hauses nicht alles so sauber wie wir das gewohnt sind. Es hat aber nie Probleme mit heißem Wasser gegeben und wenn man zu wenig Handtücher hatte bekam man noch welche. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit Wäsche zu waschen - wenn man die Waschmaschine bedienen kann. Der Außenbereich ist nett, leider konnten wir, außer dem Grillplatz der überdacht ist, in dieser Woche nichts benutzen. Für Erholungssuchende ist das Haus super geeignet, da man statt Straßenlärm nur Geräusche aus der Natur wahrnimmt und die gute Luft genießen kann. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es alles was man braucht. Noch zu erwähnen ist die nette und zuvorkommende Art von der Verwalterin, die sich immer um unser Wohlbefinden erkundigte. Sie und die Familie kümmern sich auch um das Entfernen des Abfalls, der bei 18 Personen und täglichem Kochen nicht so wenig ist. Vielen Dank dafür!
