Excellent location to visit Siena, San Giminiano, Volterra and Florence plus local vineyards. Apartment is adequate, but before booking it was impossible to figure out which apartment has direct access to pool and private outdoor space. I have asked Easy reserve customer service, but they didn’t have that info and we ended up in Casa Edera that lacks both. That was little dissapointing. We still though had a short walk access to pool and beautiful gardens with panoramic views towards San Giminiano. Very friendly owners, but unfortunately I don’t speak much Italian, so communication was limited.
Castel San Giminiano is a lovely, quiet village, has a grocery store and nice restaurant, bit on a pricey side though. Giovanna offered cooking, but we did not try it.
I would recommend this place to my friends.

Just back from a fabulous 3 weeks at La Cecchella (July 2018). The villa is lovely with all the facilities for a wonderful holiday but best of all are Francesca and her family who are always at hand to help and answer queries. The pool is a great size and always sparkling. San Martino in Freddano has all the amenities you need (including a great gelateria!) We felt at home immediately and I would strongly recommend La Cecchella for a relaxing and special holiday.

The accommodation at the villa was very good.
However, we found Monterchi to be quite remote and far from many places we wanted to visit. Also the 3 km drive up the hill to the villa is a huge negative
