The foundations of Villa Medicea Lo Sprocco date back to the 1400s, commissioned by Lorenzo and Giovanni de' Medici, sons of Pier Francesco, and later sold to Taddeo Ducci in 1494. A cornerstone of the ancient Medici lineage, the Villa incorporates an 11th-century Ubaldina tower and was chosen by Lorenzo the Magnificent as a hunting lodge. After passing through the Gherardi family, the property was acquired by the Bolognese de' Bianchi family. Major restorations were initiated in 1898 by Count Filippo Sassoli de' Bianchi to restore its 15th-century appearance, despite significant 18th-century refurbishments, including the still-consecrated Chapel dated 1729. Key internal features include the Salone dei Medici with a 14th-century pietra serena fireplace bearing the Medici coat of arms, and the Papal Apartment which once hosted Popes Leo X and Clement VII.

Renata is nicknamed Nonna Renata (Grandmother Renata) because of her age, but also because of the way she makes you feel at home in the villa. She is like a sweet grandmother who makes delicious dishes to make you taste Medici's dishes and ancient Tuscan dishes.
Lorella
The queen of breakfast. Her cakes are among the best reviewed aspects of the villa. They are homemade and made early in the morning, just before the customers arrive in the salon near the kitchen. You will be greeted by an unbeatable scent of sweet cakes.
She is always prepared to demonstrate her techniques for baking delicious cakes, which you can then recreate when you return home.

The non-heated rectangular swimming pool measures 6 x 12 meters, with a depth ranging from 1.50 to 1.80 meters, and is completely fenced for safety and privacy. The pool area is generously equipped with gazebos, sun loungers, deck chairs, and umbrellas, creating an inviting space for sunbathing and relaxation. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. Please be aware that photo shoots of the property are typically carried out in spring, so the colors and blooms of the gardens, lawns, and surrounding park may vary at the time of your arrival.

Casabianca is arranged across 2 levels in the main villa, with an additional self-contained annex located at the rear of the property, together offering accommodation for a maximum of 12 guests across 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. On the ground floor, an open loft-style space features a kitchen, dining area, and living area, all characterized by dramatic stone walls with barrel vaults. This level also includes a relaxation area with a service bathroom and relaxation beds. It is important to note that both the ground-floor loft and the relaxation area are not heated. The first floor is accessed via an elegant internal staircase in Pietra Serena and is divided into 2 distinct wings. The first wing contains a living room with a fireplace, a dining area, and a kitchenette, along with 2 double bedrooms each with a private en suite bathroom featuring a bathtub, and a dedicated laundry room. The second wing offers a reading room, 2 double bedrooms with divisible beds, and a shared bathroom with a bathtub. An additional double bedroom, accessible only via an external staircase and not heated, is equipped with a private en suite bathroom with shower. The annex, situated at the back of the villa, houses a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom with shower and a small living room, also not heated.

It is lined in walnut-coloured travertine and features salt purification, steps for water access on one of the short sides, and an internal spotlight. Surrounding the pool, guests will find sunbeds, low tables, an umbrella, and a portable cold-water shower. The pool is also equipped with an isothermal bubble cover to help preserve water temperature during cooler periods. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. Please be aware that the photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the appearance of flowering plants and the colour of the garden grass may differ at the time of your arrival.
