The non-heated swimming pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October and is positioned at the center of the garden, at a slightly elevated level relative to the farmhouse, accessible via a flight of 5 steps. The pool features an attractive bean shape with a stone border and internal PVC lining, covering an area of 40 square meters, and is equipped with a Roman staircase on one side. It is fitted with a cold water outdoor shower and lighting both inside the pool and throughout the surrounding garden. The purification system is chlorine-based. The sunbathing area, finished in wood and stone along the perimeter and extending into the lawn dotted with olive trees, is furnished with sun beds, umbrellas, and a wooden gazebo appointed with armchairs.
An additional swimming pool, available but not for the exclusive use of guests, is located approximately 50 meters from the farmhouse, near the annex where the owners reside. This pool has a rectangular shape measuring 12x6 meters with a variable depth ranging from 1.20 meters to 1.70 meters, and is also equipped with a cold water outdoor shower and a generous sunbathing area planted with lawn.
It should be noted that photo shoots are typically taken in spring, and therefore the colors and blooms of the gardens, lawns, and surrounding areas may differ at the time of your arrival.

The vast park, extending across approximately 3 hectares, transitions naturally into dense woodland at the rear of the property, directly accessible from the garden and crossed by numerous walking paths where glimpses of hares, porcupines, and roe deer can be enjoyed. The non-heated swimming pool, open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October, is positioned on a terrace at a lower level approximately 15 metres from the house, reached via a short flight of steps and a paved pathway across the lawn. Measuring 6 x 9 metres with a constant depth of 1.50 metres, the pool is lined in PVC, features a wooden edge and a ladder for water access, and is equipped with a chlorine purification system. The villa is divided into three independent flats, in one of which on the ground floor there is a double bedroom with a bathroom suitable for persons with disabilities. The structure was born from the recovery of old farm outbuildings close to the main house where the owners live, who will be, albeit in a discreet manner, a point of reference for all your needs.
The owners, thanks to careful renovation using traditional materials such as wood, terracotta and stone and comfortable furnishings, have ensured that the villa is perfect for spending a comfortable and restful holiday.
Villa Le Balze overlooks on one side a wooden porch, equipped with table and chairs and perfect for your dinners and evenings in company, and the lush garden where you will have a barbecue and a table tennis. On the other side, the house overlooks the swimming pool area (size 6x12 m, depth 1.40 m - open from 10 May to 15 September), which is completely fenced off and for the exclusive use of guests.
At Agriturismo Le Balze you can taste and purchase excellent wine and extra-virgin olive oil, vegetables, fruit, and all the products of the farm. In addition, on the ground floor of the house where the owners live you will find a small restaurant (maximum 25 seats), open both to the public and to guests of the villa. Description
In 1996 we moved to the Crete Senesi and we fell in love with this farmhouse Etruscan origins, medieval mill, peace and tranquillity. That’s why we decided to share it with our guests and their four-legged friends.
The farm keeps the whole family busy: Alessandro (biologist, nature guide and Sommelier), Elisa who looks after the administration, Mauro and Paola, retired but full time busy on the farm. And we hope that in the future even Emma and Guido will give us a helping hand.
We produce vegetables and fruit, olive oil and truffles from organic agriculture.
For our guests we organize a rich programme of initiatives discovering the colours and flavours of the Crete, wine tasting in our cosy winery and excursions by bike guided by Alessandro who is fond of cycling.

The Agriturismo Le Balze is located in the heart of the Alto Valdarno, at the foot of Pratomagno, and 2 km from the village of Castelfranco di Sopra. The nearest shops and supermarkets can be found in Montevarchi or San Giovanni Valdarno, about 10 km away. Here, in the small, pretty towns, you can spend an evening out for dinner or organise an aperitif with friends.
The property is divided into three apartments resulting from the restoration of old farm outbuildings close to the main house where the owners live. Traditional materials such as wood, terracotta and stone were used in the renovation carried out to maintain the building's rural and peasant origins. All the apartments overlook a wooden porch on one side, where you will have your own private space equipped with table and chairs to spend the cool summer evenings at dinner or with your family or friends.
In the large, green garden you will have a practical barbecue and a table tennis. The swimming pool in common use is located at the back of the building (size 6x12 m, depth 1.40 m - open from 10 May to 15 September) and is completely fenced. Laundry and ironing facilities in a common room.
At Agriturismo Le Balze you can taste and buy excellent wine and extra-virgin olive oil, vegetables, fruit, and all the farm's products. But certainly one of its highlights is the small restaurant (maximum 25 seats - reservation required) run by the owners and located on the ground floor of their home, open both to the public and to guests of the agriturismo, where you absolutely must, at least for one evening, taste the delicious typical dishes, which are cooked using tasty local products.

Villa Montalcinello is a villa located near the city of Chiusdino, where you can enjoy the wonderful and impressive landscape typical of Tuscany, it has been restored and furnished with elegance, in fact there is only antique furniture of rare beauty.
