Torretta is a splendid antique property, located on the top of a nice hill next to the Medieval town of Cortona. Being surrounded by oak-trees and olive-trees, you can appreciate the Tuscan country side. What makes the property unique is, on one side, it's splendid panoramic position overlooking the entire Valdichiana valley, and on the other, the circular tower with a roof made of stone tiles built in the 16th century, which through the ages has been transformed into a windmill. The country house built in the 18th century has recovered its beautiful antique splendour thanks to the accurate restoration of the owners, who found the perfect balance between the old and the new, rendering your stay as pleasant as possible. Casale La Torretta is an unique and maybe even magical, where you can enjoy an unforgettable and certainly splendid and relaxing holiday.
Interior
The country house made out of stone, has a characteristic external loggia and is divided into two levels. On the ground floor you will find the small kitchen, which overlooks the well kept garden and offers you a wonderful view. From the kitchen one has access to the spacious dining room, with a big stone ornamental fire-place and equipped with antique furniture, that is extremely functional. The living room has an ornamental fire-place, sofas and TV, are inserted in an ambience with large wooden beams and big windows that enable you to admire the panorama. On the same floor you'll find two bedrooms which are comunicating (one double and one twin), both with an adjoining bathroom. Both the double and the twin have direct access into the garden, but can not be accesed from the outside of the property. A characteristic loggia, can be reached by a beautiful stone staircase, accessing the first floor. This floor is made up of comfortable living room you will find a large ornamental fire-place and curious niches in the walls. It is relaxing and comfortable at the same time decorated with typical Tuscan colours and ardent terracotta pavement. From the living room there are two double bedrooms with wrought iron beds and antique wardrobes, one bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the other bedroom has an adjacent bathroom. TOWER: The tower has a round form and still preserves pieces of stone pavement and characteristic spiral stairs. At the ground floor you will find a tiny reading-room and a delightful bathroom. By taking the spiral stairs you can enter the master bedroom. This bedroom has very old embrasured windows, an original wardrobe and an iron bed.

Park
The garden, of approximately 5.000 m² is well maintained and delimited by a wooden fence, and is in perfect harmony with the Mediterranean vegetation which surrounds the property. The total estate of the property encloses 4,2 hectares, which ensures complete privacy.
Swimming Pool
The fenced wimming pool, open from the last Saturday of April to the first saturday of October, is situated at a terrace bounded by a wall made out of stone, measures 4 x 8 m with a depth varying from 1.10 to 1.90 m, a sunbathing area with furnishings. From here there is an absolute unique view of the surrounding nature. The pool area is furnished also with a stone barbecue.

At the back of the garden, directly in front of the main French window, a large furnished patio provides a generous sitting and dining area where you can savour typical Tuscan delicacies in the open air. From this patio, a short flight of steps leads to a wooden gazebo furnished with a table and chairs, positioned in the pool area and paved in terracotta, offering a charming spot for alfresco meals with views of the surrounding countryside. The non-heated rectangular swimming pool, measuring 4 x 8 metres with a depth ranging from 1.20 metres to 1.80 metres, is lined in light-coloured PVC and features a terracotta border and Roman steps for easy access. Purification is by chlorine. Framed along its perimeter by olive trees and situated on terracing approximately 15 metres from the house, the pool is reached via a paved path or a short flight of steps. It is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. The sunbathing area surrounding the pool is equipped with sunbeds and a solar shower, creating a complete and relaxing outdoor retreat. 2 uncovered parking spaces are available at the entrance to the property, conveniently close to the house. You will find the farm at the foot of the rugged hill where the ancient Etruscan town of Cortona rises majestically and will instantly win you over with its old-world atmosphere. In Cortona you can stroll around, enjoy splendid views and visit countless ancient churches, museums and works of art. Don't forget to taste the local cuisine in the typical restaurants in the centre - you won't regret it!
A skilful and careful renovation, carried out with painstaking patience directly by the owner, and a decor in authentic period furniture give the houses a very special charm. You will feel welcomed in a very homely atmosphere that will make you feel at home from the very first moment.
Apartments Sofya and Selene are located in the same building and can be especially recommended for 2 families travelling together. La Gabola, La Gabolina and La Turata, on the other hand, are individual and independent houses, perfect for those who like a little extra privacy.
All around the farm a large green space where each house has its own private corner with a gazebo equipped with table and chairs. This will be your favourite place on warm summer evenings, chatting with friends and a good bottle of red wine. Villa Cerretalta is in a wonderful position on a small hill surrounded by Brunello vineyards, within the national park of Val D'Orcia. The 7 bedroom, 6 bath property is set between the cities of Montalcino and San Quirico D'Orcia (both are about 10 km away), yet in few minutes you can reach the little town of Torrenieri (5 km) where you can find the nearest shops, supermarket and restaurants.
The owner occasionally uses the independent building nearby and whilst respecting your privacy will be at your disposal if you should need any help.
Cerretalta is completely surrounded by hedges and fences to guarantee total privacy. Nonetheless, you have a wonderful sight over the countryside.
Once you enter the gateway, there is a large courtyard plenty of tables and chairs at guests’ disposal as well as the brick barbeque. Across the court there is a lovely area with a big round stone table and matching benches sheltered from the sun by a pergola. Here there is also a second way out from the property, down a stone staircase and through a small iron gate.
There are two garden areas.
The first one is bordered by mature trees, should the guests enjoy a peaceful shady lawn, and it is situated next to a white travertine floored space with tables, chairs and parasol. This is the perfect location where you can have your meals, while taking in the beautiful view over the surrounding farmland.
From here, few stone steps lead to the second garden that is located near the poolside. A small gate possibly delimits the way so as to prevent little children from reaching the swimming-pool area without permission. Some fruit trees, flowers and shrubs brighten the place and there is also a gazebo with table and chairs. An extensive hedge marks the limits of the patch.

The second apartment, also accessed from the ground floor, features a living room, a large fully equipped kitchen with a dining table that can accommodate up to 10 people, 1 bathroom with shower, and a laundry room. On the first floor of this apartment, there are 2 double bedrooms and a second bathroom with shower. The villa is equipped with air conditioning, which is included in the rental price, along with a dishwasher, washing machine, and satellite TV. Heating is available and metered separately. The owner resides approximately 500 meters from the villa, ensuring that guests enjoy full privacy and exclusive use of the entire estate, including the pool, while remaining readily available to assist with any requests. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 9:30. The minimum stay is 1 week, and during high season bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. Located just under one kilometre from the hamlet of Trequanda, in the heart of Tuscany, Italy, this welcoming property offers an ideal retreat for those in search of tranquillity and genuine relaxation. The farmhouse sits within a property of approximately one hectare, and its lush, partly fenced park of around 2,000 square metres is surrounded by the rolling Tuscan countryside. Guests benefit from private parking conveniently located near the main entrance in a shaded area, as well as complimentary Internet Wi-Fi throughout the stay. The beautifully maintained yard, rich with a wide variety of plants and flowers, frames the property with natural elegance and provides a serene outdoor environment for the entire duration of your visit.
Outdoors
The outdoor spaces at Poderino are a true highlight of the property, offering a harmonious blend of natural beauty and practical comfort. The park features an impressive variety of Mediterranean vegetation, including olive trees, cypresses, and holm oaks, while the area immediately in front of the villa is adorned with lemon plants, jasmine, oleander, and an assortment of potted flowers. Near the main entrance, a shaded parking area provides convenient vehicle access, and a dedicated alfresco dining area, sheltered by a sunbed canopy, invites leisurely outdoor meals in the open air. On the first floor, a spacious panoramic terrace furnished with a sofa and chairs offers sweeping views over the surrounding hills and the medieval town of Trequanda with its castle. Please note that the property photographs were taken in spring, so the flowering of plants and the colour of the garden grass may differ from what you will find upon arrival, depending on the season of your visit.
The non-heated panoramic swimming pool is situated approximately 20 metres from the farmhouse and is reached via a short walking path through the garden. The rectangular pool, oval-shaped on one side, measures 5 by 10 metres, with a depth ranging from 1.20 metres to 1.85 metres. Entry into the water is via a ladder, and the pool is equipped with a chlorine purification system as well as an internal lighting system. The surrounding solarium area features traditional cotto paving and grass, and is furnished with tables, sunbeds, sun umbrellas, and a cold outdoor shower. Lovely olive trees frame the pool without obstructing the magnificent views of the countryside and the hills beyond. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.

Poderino is configured to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests across 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, spread over 2 levels that are connected both internally and externally via sets of stairs. The ground floor is entered through the main entrance, which opens directly into the living room. To the right, a room housing a billiard table provides an entertaining space, while to the left, the dining area flows naturally into the fully equipped kitchen, which is adjacent to a pantry and laundry space. A service bathroom completes the ground floor layout.
The upper floor is dedicated to the sleeping area and includes 3 double bedrooms. One of these bedrooms features an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub, offering a private and comfortable retreat. The remaining 2 double bedrooms, one of which is fitted with divisible beds that can be arranged to suit different sleeping configurations, share a second bathroom equipped with a shower. Also on the upper floor, a study with direct access to the panoramic terrace provides a quiet space for reading or remote work, with beautiful views over the Tuscan landscape.
