The property occupies the ground floor of an elegantly renovated building situated along a residential road in the charming borgo of Santa Colomba, a small hamlet dominated by a 14th-century castle-fortress and a historic church adorned with frescoes by Duccio da Buoninsegna. Lovingly restored by its current owners, who reside discreetly on the upper floor for short periods only, the villa combines refined interiors with an extraordinary natural setting surrounded by centuries-old holm oaks, oaks, and chestnut trees. Guests have access to a fully equipped one-hectare private park, a dedicated parking area located just past the entrance gate to the property, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the accommodation. A private swimming pool completes the outdoor offering, making Villa Rinaldi an ideal retreat for those seeking both comfort and an immersive connection with the unspoiled Tuscan landscape.

The grounds of Villa Rinaldi are nothing short of extraordinary, extending across a fully fenced one-hectare park that wraps around the rear of the building and is framed along its perimeter by centuries-old oak trees and lush, refreshing woodland vegetation. The garden is a living tapestry of seasonal blooms and wild flora, including junipers, honeysuckles, strawberry trees, ferns, cyclamens, violets, hellebores, strawberries, and wild blackberries, all of which can be discovered simply by strolling around the property. A vegetable garden with seasonal vegetables and aromatic herbs is also available for guests to enjoy. Throughout the park, various seating areas equipped with chairs and tables invite relaxation and convivial gatherings, while a convenient outdoor dining area is positioned directly at the living room exit, creating a seamless flow between interior and exterior living. Please note that the photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the blossoming of flowers and the colour of the garden grass may differ at the time of your arrival.
The non-heated swimming pool is set in the most private area of the property, on a lower terrace approximately 20 metres from the villa, reached via a few steps or along a dedicated path. Rectangular in shape and measuring 4 x 8 metres, with a depth ranging from 1.50 to 1.70 metres, the pool features submerged entry steps, a PVC lining, a stone-paved border, internal spotlights, salt-based water purification, and a waterproof cover for overnight use. The surrounding sunbathing area is furnished with a large umbrella, small tables, sofas, and sunbeds, as well as a cold-water shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October.

Villa Rinaldi accommodates up to 6 guests across 3 elegantly appointed bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, spread across the ground floor of the building. The main entrance, located on the side of the building, opens into a refined hallway that leads to the right into a spacious living room featuring a study corner and direct access to the garden, and to the left into a well-appointed kitchen and dining room arranged in an open-plan layout. The sleeping area comprises 1 double bedroom with divisible beds and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, as well as 2 twin bedrooms with joinable beds, each served by an ensuite bathroom with a shower, for a total of 3 bathrooms. The interior is completed by a dedicated laundry room, ensuring all the practical comforts of a well-organised home.

The atmosphere throughout is quiet and reserved, encouraging guests to spend long hours outdoors. Directly outside the living room French window, a large porch furnished with a table and chairs provides an ideal setting for al fresco dining and leisurely gatherings in the shade. Please note that the garden photographs were taken in spring, and the appearance of the flowers and grass may vary depending on the season of your visit.
The centrepiece of the outdoor space is the magnificent non-heated infinity pool, positioned just 15 metres from the house and immersed in the surrounding garden. Rectangular in shape and measuring 6 x 12 metres, the pool features a border in Tuscan travertine and is internally lined with mosaic tiles, lending it an elegant and distinctly regional character. The depth varies from 1.20 metres to 2.20 metres, and access to the water is made easy via large steps. The pool is equipped with chlorine purification, as well as lighting both inside and outside the water. Along one side, a discreet hedge provides a sense of privacy, while fragrant roses frame the perimeter and a carpet of well-kept lawn surrounds the sunbathing area, which is furnished with sunbeds, an awning, and a hammock. A wooden gazebo with table and chairs completes this outdoor retreat, and an outdoor shower is also available for guests' convenience. L’Ovile is a typical Tuscan farmhouse whose origins date back to the beginning of the 20th century; it was bought, together with the larger estate Casanova, by the present owners in the 60’s and used as a farm, whose fundamental principle is the protection and respect of nature and the territory. The farmhouse, in a separate position and independent from the farm, and consistent with its spirit and vocation, has been recently restored with reclaimed materials such as the stone which covers the structure or else with new materials made in the old way such as the stone floor or the bricks set above the chestnut beams which cover the ceiling. The recent renovations have further characterized the farmhouse (equipped with solar panels and PV system), conferring to the outside the particular fortress style, a building technique which was used in the Middle Ages. The house has two floors connected by internal staircase. The main entrance opens into a spacious hall from which the rooms lead off symmetrically: the right side leads to the dining room with fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. From here one goes to a small access room leading to the double bedroom with adjacent bathroom with shower and a laundry room. The left side leads to the large sitting room and from here to the second double bedroom with adjacent bathroom with shower and a small box room. Both the sitting room and the kitchen have French windows with outside access. A staircase in the hallway leads up to the first floor composed of a double bedroom (with dividable bed), a twin bedroom (with joinable beds), both with ensuite bathroom with shower, a relax room and a playground room for children.

Park:
The farmhouse is situated in a 36-hectare property; all around is woodland composed of holm oaks and oaks, dotted with paths and unpaved roads, extending for about 1.5 hectares, where guests can go for long walks. Otherwise they can take advantage of the relaxed atmosphere in the cosy flowered garden (500 sq m) with a large lawn area which surrounds the house. Two benches, sunbeds and an hammock allow guests to relax in peace. In front of the French windows of the kitchen is the outdoor dining area, with gazebo furnished with table, garden chairs and a gas barbecue just few steps away is the table tennis.

Swimming Pool:
The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. The pool is an attractive “kidney shape” and measures 11 x 7.3 m (the minimum diameter near the ladder is 4.80 m). The depth varies from 1.10 m to 1.80 m. It is lined in PVC with salt purification. Entrance to the water is by Roman steps with hydromassage vents. The pool border is paved with antiqued tiles which combine harmoniously with the outside of the house as well as with the surrounding countryside. There is external lighting and also lighting inside the pool. The solarium area around the pool is provided with sun umbrellas, sunbeds, small tables and an outdoor hot water shower. The pool, sited on a lower level in respect to the house, looks south out over the suggestive panorama of the wooded countryside of the Sienese Montagnola which gently slopes down towards the Piana di Rosia, which changes continuously according to the shadows and reflections of the sun. In the background the inactive volcano of Monte Amiata, 1.738 m above sea level, the most important ski resort of southern Tuscany, rises majestically above the surrounding valleys of the Val d’Orcia and of the Maremma.

The main house has three floors on a two-level sloping terrain, enabling direct entry into the house from both the ground floor and the basement. THE PARK
The garden surrounding the house covers an area of about 4000 sq m, with stone-paved areas alternating with areas of manicured lawn where you can relax outdoors: a comfortable portico with dining table outside the main kitchen and a large panoramic terrace equipped with sofa and armchairs, just a few steps from the pool, all embellished with rose bushes and Mediterranean herbs. There is a stone barbecue for the guests' use and a parking area just past the entrance gate, at the back of the property.
THE SWIMMING POOL
The beautiful newly-built infinity pool is set on the lower terrace of the garden, looking out over an open scenic landscape. About 15 m from the house, it is reached via a paved path across the lawn and then down one of the two flights of steps set on both sides of the area. The pool, lined in PVC and equipped with three large internal steps for access to the water, measures 7 x 12 m with the depth ranging from 1.10 to 1.80 m. All around is the stone-paved sunbathing area with umbrellas and comfortable sunbeds for relaxing in the sun while on one side is a cold and hot-water shower.
