Castello di Montegufoni is an exclusive location to spend wonderful holidays in the heart of Chianti Region.
Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Montegufoni Castle is part of a large estate comprising vineyards and olive trees and is surrounded by the beautiful Chianti landscape. In the castle there are 39 apartments and a large garden with a nice swimming pool: the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your family and friends.
The Chianti Region is one of the most renowned charming area in Italy for its cultural, historical and enogastronomic traditions. This luxurious Castle offers to our guests incredible holiday experiences (on request) such as cooking lessons, event location, guided tours and more!
Distances from the villa: the small village of Montagnana V.P. with food shops 1 km, Montespertoli with all kinds of shops approx. 5 km, Florence 20 km, Pisa approx. 70 km.
A bus stop with busses to Florence is only a few meters from the castle away. Bikes and scooters for rent are available in Montespertoli.
At guests’ disposal: large and very charming terraced park furnished with garden furniture and table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens (dating back to the 18th century) with lemon trees and swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 01/04 to 31/10). Reception open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. A nice restaurant offering nice recipes of the local Chianti tradition is open every night (from April to October except on Tuesdays). Laundry with shared washing-machine (€ 4,- / per washing). WI-FI internet connection available in some apartment, in the reception and restaurant area.

La Capinera is a lovely vacation rental (75 sq m) with private pool, air conditioning and WiFi internet. The property can sleep up to five guests comfortably in two bedrooms with three bathrooms. The house, which is located on the same estate as Le Rondini (also in our program), is surrounded by a very large and well maintained flat garden, where an unusually big pool for such a small house is situated. The pool has a salted water filter system avoiding the use of chlorine. The garden is fenced all around, making it very safe for children, and there is also a children’s play area.

An outdoor shower and a changing room with WC are conveniently located adjacent to the pool area, and swimming towels are made available for guests. A pergola provides a shaded retreat within the garden, while a large furnished veranda offers an ideal setting for open-air dining, allowing guests to savour meals in the fresh country air. Garden furniture and a barbecue complete the outdoor amenities, making the exterior of the property perfectly suited for leisurely afternoons and convivial evenings under the Tuscan sky.

Podere Rasenna is equipped with a spa area, adding a further dimension of relaxation and wellbeing to the guest experience. A washing machine is available within the property for the convenience of longer stays. The property is fitted with a heating system; however, heating is available exclusively from 01 November to 15 April and is to be paid as an extra cost on the spot. Motor access to the property is provided via an unmade road of approximately 800 metres.
