La Casa degli Archi is located just inside the medioeval village of Pitigliano considered one of the most beautiful villages' Italy . Quiet and peaceful, yet only few kms from the famous Terme di Saturnia, Argentario cost line and Monte Amiata. The apartment has easy access to all amenities, including the local and typical market and many excellent restaurants for eating out.

Unique in its position, the house’s large windows stretch out over the entire town and beautiful surrounding valleys. Inside the atmosphere is refined, intimate and comfortable, and organised into a large communal entry area, a small balcony overlooking the valley, a large open-plan living room with amazing fireplace and a fully furnished kitchen.

The life in medioeval town is extremely quite and pacefull, not noice and you will enjoy the plesure of the sound of silence.

The house is located in the historical center, Pitigliano is a small and safe village, the nearest parking area is located five minutes walk away from the house. If you need help to transfer your luggages we will provide it with our car.

Using the fireplace is charged euro 25/night - this includes wood as needed, and a maid cleaning the fireplace every morning.

HORSE RIDING TOUR

moments exploring a untouched territory and its breathtaking sights. Ride through the hills of the Maremmaand immerse yourself in a hidden natural paradise, where you’re alone with your horse and the incredible colors and perfumes of the Maremma Collinare.
The territory’s many equestrian centers allow you to choose between western or English mounts, as well as take dressage or jumps lessons. You can book lessons for beginners or experts with varying length depending on your skill level. We organize lessons and rides that last for two hours, half a day or an entire day. Other than lessons and guided tours, we also organize multi-day horseback treks with bivouac shelter. For all types of lessons and horse riding tours we suggest you wear comfortable clothing that appropriate for the season.

FISHING TRIPS
For those who love fishing, the Citta del Tufo area is the ideal location, packed with mountain rivers such as the Vivo, Lente and Albegna, as well as blessed with lakes like the Bolsena and Mezzano and only an hour car’s ride away from the cliffs and marinas of the Argentario Sea.
All you need to do is have a fishing license for the area’s waters and choose the road and equipment that will earn you the catch of the day.
Whether you’re a beginner or expert, we will organize a recreational fishing trip that includes the lakes, rivers and sea.

WINE TASTING
The Maremma Collinare has always been a territory dedicated to producing wine. In fact, archeologists have found traces of this ancient trade that date back to the age of the Etruscans.
Today there are an endless number of privates wineries throughout the territory who, together with local cellars, offer certified products of only the highest quality. The Bianco di Pitigliano and the Rosso di Sovana are two local D.O.C wines.
Other local wines have earned the important I.G.T ticket, which recognizes that the grapes used and wineries where they were grown in are all Tuscan. You can put together your own personalized wine tasting tour, all organized in local wineries where you can not only try but also buy wines at the best price and with the certainty of their origin. Tasting tours range between €15 and €50 per person depending on the wineries you choose. All wine tasting tours included at least the tasting of three wines, as weel as local gastronomy products.

Interior Description

The house ( 200 smq) has six sleeping places,1 double bedroom, 1 double bedroom + one single sofa bed and 1 single bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a large open-space living room with a fireplace.

Entering, on the right you will find the first double bedroom with bathroom and jacuzzi.
The front entrance opens into the large living room, split into two levels and decorated with three splendid tuff rock arches and a grand fireplace, which takes up the entire central wall of the room. From here you can take the stairs to the rest of the house, where you will find the dining room and kitchen.
On the top level to the right you will the find the last part of the house and the entry into the single bedroom.
From the end of the hall is a tunnel dug into the tuff rock, where you will the find the other double bedroom with a bathroom and shower.
The apartment benefits of a little balcony with stunning surrounding views, furnished with antiques combined with moder furniture solution.
The apartment is ideal for families, as base to discover the beauty of the area.
