Property Description

In the land of Leonardo da Vinci, the famous wine and oil producing territory of Montalbano, minutes from the natural springs and the most famous natural SPA and Grotto of Europe: Grotta Giusti and the medical complex of Montecatini Terme. A territory that offers an unlimited number of small towns and hamlets, all with their restaurants, cafes and breadshops, starting from five minutes away from the property. This area, which is equidistant from Florence and Lucca, is perfect for families travelling together or group of friends who are into food and wine itineraries in Tuscany and Liguria: 5 Terre is one hour and a half away, Versilia beach clubs are less than a hour away and so is Pisa. To get to the start of Chianti (Exit of Florence Certosa) it will take again a houw. There is a private pool (heatable) and expansive gardens for hot summer afternoons. Each area features it own temperature control. On the oak shaded terrace or in the pleasant dining room that opens to the garden guests can enjoy traditional Tuscan cuisine or engage in cooking classes featuring some famous tuscan mammas and chefs. The Park of Pinocchio is twenty minutes away, beach clubs of northern tuscan riviera are less than fifty minutes away and all around lie pedestrian villages (Montecatini Alto being the best one) where parents can eat, relax and watch their little ones run with the tuscan ones and no fear of cars.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool has been recently fully restored, and it's heatable. It is 12 metres long and 4 metres large, and includes chaise longues and chairs with cushions and tables available for the Villas Guest. The depth changes, from 1,20mt to 2,50mt

The property features a Rose garden where a number of special and rare roses are planted and taken care of from the proprietor, plus a vineyard in front of the pool, offering one of the most iconic views of Tuscany, the land of good wine.
Panorama includes some hills in the sorroundings and the sight can get to Vinci, the Village where Leonardo was born, in clear days.
There are two alfresco dining, where over 25 people can be accommodated, plus a swimming pool that can be heated, a pool house with shower and large gardens with the shadow of big trees offering a secluded refugee for those who love reading within a silent environment.

This valley where the property is located is an original mix of famous thermal resorts, intact nature and ancient Medieval villages. It is found in the deep and secret heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Lucca and, for centuries, was a crossroads for culture, trade and meetings. Her hills conceal villages and castles that from the “Swiss Pesciatina” stretch out until Vinci where the genius of Leonardo da Vinci was born. Versilia Club beaches as well as Chianti most famous wineries and historical gardens are within one hour of reach. From the chestnut woods, passing through the landscape scattered with olives trees, we reach the valley where the precious waters of Montecatini Terme and the steam of Monsummano Terme’s grottos are born, and where the natural reserve of Padule di Fucecchio extends. This is the homeland of Pinocchio, the most famous puppet in the world. There are several remarkable Art towns in the area (Pisa, Lucca, Firenze) and also some beautiful and relatively unknown medioeval towns like (Pietrasanta, Vinci). In the area there are also a number of interesting contemporary gardens as well as some of the most incredible private villas of the world. There are several tennis courts nearby the estate. The golf club is less than ten minutes away. The baths and spas date back to the fourteenth century and nowadays there are nine fully-functioning 'terme' spread around the town. Elegant, peaceful and relaxing, it is a perfect resting place. Enriched watershave been drunk by previous visitors including Rossini, Verdi, Princess Grace, Orson Welles, Clark Gable, Douglas Fairbanks and assorted European royalty. Verdi was particularly taken, searching for eternal youth each year for 25 years.
