It's difficult to come up with one phrase, one idea or one emotion that encapsulates the experience at La Flora. My best effort is to call it "Perfection". Nine of us gathered at La Flora, traveling from all corners of the U.S. We had known each other for 30 years plus so finding a comfortable yet beautiful place to stay was a priority.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Isla sat with us reviewing the gorgeous property and providing advice on local sites, restaurants and vineyards. All of her recommendations proved to be excellent.
Our first night (and for two more) we enjoyed the culinary talents of Francesca & Frederico. As you can imagine, food & wine were a central part of our daily celebration. Recommended to us through the owner, the food was fresh, beautiful & delicious. Francesca & Frederico were charming and added the perfect Italian touch to the evening.
La Flora is a spacious villa with a prolific amount of gathering & private spaces. Big, clean, beautiful and comfortable, it provides every appointment necessary for a 5 star vacation.
The days passed far too quickly with travels, relaxation by the pool and delightful trips into Lucca. La Flora provided nine life long friends with an opportunity of a lifetime.

The villa is absolutely beautiful and located in an outstanding, peaceful setting nestled into the Tuscan hills.
The owner, Gabriele, could not have been more helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed and more to enjoy our stay.
An absolute pleasure to stay there and would definitely visit again if the oppotunity arose.

When we arrived at 8:30pm, the lady who greeted and lived on site did not have any idea we were coming, she thought it had been cancelled, despite us paying when requested and emailing the owner a couple of days before to inform her of our itinerary. The lady who greeted us was pleasant and polite, did not speak any English which is very understandable, made communicating tricky, but Google translate relayed communication well enough. But as she had no idea we were coming nothing was ready in the Villa, she said she would change the bed there and then, then clean and sort everything else out the next day. This was not done, she only change the bed sheets. The villa had clearly not been cleaned for a while and we had no soap, toilet paper or washing powder. I did not expect a large amount but everywhere I have gone have at least left a small supply of essentials to get you through the first night until you can get to the shop. The level of lighting was very low, and would be hard at night for people with sight issues, also there is WiFi but not in the villa - you have to go outside the villa for a signal. I was really disappointed with the level of cleanliness in the villa, it was not filthy but it was poor and I expect better from holiday accommodation. It's doubly annoying when the lady responsible for the cleaning asks you for €50 euros at the end of the holiday, when she had clearly not cleaned it for us. Outside the Villa is as lovely as the pictures show and very pleasant lounge around under the beautiful Tuscan sun. The people who live on site, Ellie the dog and the maintenance guy are all very nice. It was our dream to go to Tuscany and this was an amazing holiday for us. However the Villa was the only aspect of the whole holiday stopping it from being the perfect holiday for us, which is such a shame because the Villa has so much potential.
[counter comment from Easy Reserve] Despite the communications there was a misunderstanding for the arrival apparently. Normally everything works well for check-in and we feel sorry for these guests. Surely the amount paid for cleaning will be refunded with our apologies.
The owners were present to greets with gifts of wine and appetizers ,they even provided sanza gluten and vegetarian. The grounds were beautiful .
Chef Anna prepared us the most delicious meal of the entire month we were in Italy . My daughter says that Anna reminded her of her Nonna . Our stay was delightful ,the people were great to be around .We spent every evening drinking wine and lemoncello on the patio . Great memories .Thank you Angelo Anna and the rest of your Family

Ideal destination for a large group!
My husband and I loved our room in the castle it was charming and very clean. All together our group was 10, we enjoyed our breakfast and dinners on the covered patio, wandering around the picturesque grounds and quiet nights. There isn’t too much to do without taking the transit or hiring your own transportation, but we were prepared for that so it wasn’t an issue. Great staff here and wine tours nearby.

The house was very well equipped with everything you needed. The pool and grounds were perfectly kept. Stefano , our host, was very welcoming and extremely helpful . We couldn’t fault the house and would highly recommend it. We will be back !
