La Poggetta Near Cavriglia

Today a review on a beautiful house that our staff knows very well. La Poggetta is situated just on the outskirts of Cavriglia, a small town on the edge of the Chianti wine area. From here you can walk to town with all sort of shops and restaurants and that is perfect.


The house has a very nice covered terrace next to the big barbecue, there is a private swimming pool and a private tennis court and further a huge lawn with many trees and flowers. Beautiful roses are growing everywhere.... the guests can pick the fresh vegetables from the kitchen garden..... it's a Tuscan paradise !

The proud owners Alessandra and Alfiero do not speak English but they are very welcoming and are there for you in case you need anything.

In case you are looking for a special experience you can even book a dinner at the property. The Tuscan cook Lorenzo runs a small delicatessen/take away shop in the nearby town Castelnuovo dei Sabbioni with his aunt. He is an excellent cook. He will cook a typical Tuscan dinner for you and bring some local wine from his own cellars. Former guests wrote about him: “We had him give us a casual cooking class one day, which was really good – though probably not replicable by us amateurs. And his personality really made the trip – English speaking, very friendly and open to talk about all subjects from Italian politics to the fact that parmesan cheese should never be put on seafood pasta, and very passionate about the local area and food. He provided us with great food and good local insight”.
