Aulla is a stunning little place that was once an important stronghold that guarded the roads leading to Lucca city, Cisa pass and Liguria. It was a defence stronghold in its day, complete with fortress walls built in a military Renaissance style. Tourists will love the charming beauty and tranquillity of this special place.
