Landscape outside Montaione
The Parco Benestare is a park in the areas located in, and a collaboration between, the districts of Gambassi Terme (near Florence) and Montaione in Tuscany. It is a unique concept for a new kind of park land that has no strict territorial boundaries and takes in and celebrates the culture, beauty and history of both areas.

Composed of picturesque routes, the park brings visitors on interesting journeys through the Tuscan landscape and allows them to experience its uncommon beauty.

If you are looking to get away from it all, this is just the place! We have plenty of vacation rentals in Gambassi Terme and vacation rentals in Montaione as well as some in nearby towns. Check out our vacation rentals in San Gimignano, Certaldo and Castelfiorentino as well.
The town of Gambassi Terme
The park consists of numerous trekking routes and two loop paths that begin from San Vivaldo in the municipality of Montaione – the red path - and the spa centre of Gambassi Terme – the violet path. These routes give visitors the chance to take in the scenery, natural beauty, thermal springs, geological outcrops, cinnabar and gypsum quarries, old aqueducts and flora and fauna, as well as the cultural and artistic gems that are found along them. Explore sites such as the convent complex of Jerusalem in San Vivaldo, known for the dozens of chapels scattered around the grounds and earning the nickname of “Little Jerusalem”, and the enchanting romanesque church of Santa Maria in Chianni, which is one of the most significant monuments of Romanesque architecture in the Elsa Valley. The spas of Gambassi Terme are also a must-see, of course, the perfect place to relax and undergo therapeutic or aesthetic treatments.
View over Montaione
Walking isn't the only option, either, for getting around this wonderful park. You can go horseback riding and on mountain bike trips or for hikes, if you're a little more interested in a challenge than a quiet stroll through the park.

If you somehow happen to exhaust all of the activities that the two towns and park have to offer, both Montaione and Gambassi Terme also happen to be the perfect towns in which to base youself in in Tuscany if you want to explore the region's art centres and tiny medieval villages.

Surrounded by softly rolling hills covered in vineyards and olive groves, this really is the landscape in which to get well and truly away from it all.
