This stunning restaurant is set within that equally beautiful hotel and is the collaboration between the 1 Michelin Star Chef Michele Griglio and the 2 Michelin Star Chef Valeria Piccini. They focus on “bringing together the culinary tradition of Tuscany and bespoke service in the heart of Florence” and the restaurant itself is the height of glamour and sophistication. For Christmas day, they are offering a lunch menu that is a new take on the Tuscan Christmas meal and promises to be quite the culinary experience.
With seven courses in total, the menu includes: Lacquered Eel on a bed of citrus and salad of chicory hearts, to start; followed by cappelletti in its broth with black truffle; squid risotto with capers and grey mullet salted roe; grilled beef fillet on a bed of cabbage and foie gras sauce; sweet and sour vegetable and tropical fruit soup; ginger parfait; and ending with traditional Christmas cakes. The whole meal costs 110 euro per person and includes water at your table and a welcome glass of Franciacorta sparkling wine (and taxes).
