San Gimignano
If those aforementioned twinkly Christmas lights are a deciding factor for you and is one of those things that make Christmas for you, then San Gimignano is the destination for you. It is home to “Lumiere,” an event that sees the city center, the Duomo, the piazzas and the streets animated with lights, sounds and shadows, as curated and created by a group of artists. Taking place in early December of each year, this year's dates run from the 2nd to the 3rd of December 2017. For more details, check out the official Facebook page here. Just find a luxury villa in San Gimignano and drop by.
Montecatini Terme
The spa town of Montecatini Terme will not only be a relaxing destination this Christmas but also a feast of festive fun for the family this year as home to “La Casa di Babbo Natale” (or “Santa's House”), a fantastic reconstruction of Santa’s Workshop that will take place from the 11th of November 2017 until the 6th of January 2018. Check out their website (only in Italian) for more details. Find a luxury villa in Montecatini Terme and explore this lovely town for yourself.
