In 2024, Tuscany currently boasts 196 restaurants in the world-renowned foodie bible, the Michelin Guide. Among these, there are a total of thirty-eight restaurants with one Michelin star, four restaurants with two Michelin stars, one restaurant with three Michelin stars, and twenty-six restaurants that have been awarded the Bib Gourmand. The final 127 are additionally recognised for their excellent cooking. Located all across the region but with a large percentage found in the region’s capital of Florence, that means there are lots of options at hand for those who love to eat well and choose to book one of our amazing villas in Tuscany.
Here are some of our highlights among this long list of incredible restaurants that we think you should check out...

via Ghibellina 87, Florence, 50122, Italy
Number one on the list for the most serious foodies who have found a luxury villa in Florence and who have both the budget and are able to get a booking, has to be Enoteca Pinchiorri, the singular entry on the list with three Michelin stars (which it has now maintained for a full two decades uninterrupted since 2004 in addition to earlier awards in the 1990s). With both an à la carte option and a tasting menu option starting at €325, this lauded Florentine staple offers new takes on classic Tuscan flavours in the most magical Old World surroundings of the stunning Palazzo Jacometti Ciofi. The owners are Giorgio Pinchiorri, who developed the impossibly extensive wine list that is famous around the globe, and the French-born chef Annie Féolde, who has now handed over the reins to the highly talented Riccardo Monco and Alessandro della Tommasina. This dream team is rounded out by Alessandro Tomberli, considered one of Italy’s best maître-d’s. Artful plating and a sense of a crescendo throughout the meal make this a spectacular dining experience and certainly it is one of Florence’s most iconic restaurants.

piazza Giacomo Puccini 1, Viareggio, 55049, Italy
To go beyond Florence’s fine-dining scene and heading to a villa on the Tuscan Coast, we recommend an evening eating in Viareggio at Il Piccolo Principe in the iconic Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte, which has just celebrated its centenary. Like Enoteca Pinchiorri, this beloved gem boasts both an iconic setting and an excellent wine list but given its seaside location, seafood is a focus. Bringing together local and international cooking traditions, the freshest fish and shellfish, and innovation, the menu is exciting and varied. Plus, there is also a vegetarian menu that is equally impressive – so even more guests can be happily catered to at this Viareggio fixture!

Località Pescina 9, Seggiano, 58038, Italy
To head somewhere quite different, we go to the little medieval hilltown of Seggiano on the foothills of Monte Amiata in Grosseto. In this charming and typical Tuscan town, full of little architectural gems and incredible viewpoints taking in the surrounding scenery, we find the family-run Silene. Serving hearty Tuscan dishes made largely using produce from their own gardens and using the town’s renowned olive oil, and plated with incredible artistry, it is a heightened Tuscan dining experience. Perhaps you’d like to dine at home in your vacation rental in Grosseto? Well, never fear as they also offer a home delivery of meals and wines from their restaurant! Want the chicest picnic you could imagine? Or a feast at home with the ones you love? Then check them out. Prices for these delivery meals start at €63 per person.
There are, of course, almost two hundred more restaurants on the Michelin Guide in the region to discover, yet another great reason to plan a foodie holiday in Tuscany to get started putting even the tiniest dent in all of the delicious things this incredible destination has to offer!
