Dating all the way back to the 14th century and just 15km from Florence, located on a farm and surrounded by 200 hectares of vineyards and olive groves, Villa Cona is a truly dreamy escape and a perfect base from which to enjoy the sights and pleasures of Tuscany. Made up of the original villa and a converted hayloft, this villa in Tuscany with a private pool boasts 10 bedrooms that can accommodate up to twenty guests in total and has incredible amenities and services available to guests. For those looking to plan a memorable Tuscan getaway with a group of friends or the extended family, it is a perfect fit.

Located down an unpaved road (though it is in good condition), the villa is surrounded by the farm’s fields and vineyards all around and offers panoramic views of the famously lovely rolling green hills and winding tree-lined roads and hilltop villages of the Tuscan landscape. It is a place to escape the concerns and mundanity of daily life and well and truly get away from it all. It is a perfect haven in which to relax and make special memories with those you love most. It is a place where you can enjoy peace and quiet and privacy.
The farm setting of Villa Cona also means that the owners offer a whole host of extra-special services and amenities upon request and at an additional fee to their guests. These include tastings of their own wines, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners at the restaurant on the property, cooking lessons with a chef to learn all about regional delights, picnics, and excursions like truffle hunts. In addition to these food and wine-related services, there are others including horse-rides, guided hikes, and massage therapies arranged at the villa. Truly, they have all of the ingredients you need for a dream vacation in Tuscany!

While this all paints a perfectly pastoral image, Villa Cona is also not totally removed from conveniences and comforts and is, in fact, perfectly located for exploring Tuscany. The town of San Donato in Collina is just 1.5km with some shops and bars, Bagno a Ripoli and Rignano are 8km away, Florence (as previously noted) is just 15km away, Arezzo and San Gimignano are both 65km away, Siena is 70km away, Cortona is 85km away, Lucca is 95km away, and Pisa is just over 100km away, allowing for easily planned day-trips to many of Tuscany’s most famous and beloved tourist destinations. A stay at Villa Cona, therefore, is the best of both worlds.
The villa itself is reason enough to want to book a stay at Villa Cona. The pool area is perfectly positioned to take in those amazing views of the Tuscan landscape and perfectly equipped with gentle steps down into the 9 x 4m rectangular pool, elegant sun loungers and parasols positioned on the lovely paved area around the pool, and neatly manicured lawns, plants, and flowers all around. A barbecue, a gazebo with a dining area, various benches, little areas to sit out, bistro sets, and more are dotted throughout the neat gardens, and there is also a wood-burning oven (perfect for authentic Italian pizzas!) that can be operated for you by staff members upon request. Private parking is also located on the grounds.

Inside, the buildings are tastefully decorated, retaining a specific and traditional Tuscan charm, but with modern touches and all of the mod-cons and amenities that you could need, including WIFI and air-conditioning throughout. The spaces are also all broken into separate units, making it ideal for those travelling as multiple families and giving everyone plenty of options for private and shared spaces.
The main villa is made up of 4 separate units and sleeps 16 in 8 bedrooms. The first of these units, Piccolo, has a living room with a kitchen corner and dining area, two double bedrooms with air-conditioning, and one bathroom with a shower. Giardino is located on the lower ground floor and has an additional separate entrance, a living room with a kitchen corner, two double bedrooms with air-conditioning, two bathrooms with showers, a lounge with a ping-pong table, and a large dining area with another larger kitchen space. Piccionaia is on the first floor and has a living room, a full kitchen, two double bedrooms with air-conditioning, and a bathroom with a shower. Finally, Camino is also on the first floor and has a living room, a full kitchen, two double bedrooms with air-conditioning, two bathrooms with showers, and a bedroom with twin beds.

Outside the main villa is the converted hayloft, a charming separate building with two bedrooms that can sleep up to four guests. Spread over two floors, it has a large living room with a kitchen corner, a bathroom with a shower, a small laundry room (with a washing machine and an iron), and a double en suite bedroom with air-conditioning. On the first floor, there is a second bedroom, a twin room with air-conditioning.
