If you are planning a vacation to Tuscany in the summer months, you might be surprised by just how warm it can get, especially in the cities. In order to beat the heat and to be able to relax, at ease, while on your vacation, tracking down a rental property with air-conditioning is key. We have put together a list of just some of our properties with air-conditioning in Tuscan cities that you might be considering for the 2019 season (which is now open for advance booking!) and that will keep you cool and collected so you can enjoy your surroundings...

1. Appartamento Bartolomeo (Available from €66 per night)

This cute and cosy apartment is a colourful rental in an apartment block in the district of Gavinana, around 2.5km from the centre of Florence. A one bedroom studio apartment, it has an open-plan kitchen and sitting area and an open gallery up a flight of stairs with a bedroom. The sitting area also has a pull-out sofabed making this property perfect for a couple, solo traveller or small family.

The Villa Reale, or Villa Marlia, is one of the many beautiful historic estates located in the Tuscan countryside. There are lots of wonderful villas in the area around Lucca, in particular, and this property in an area called Marlia is especially lovely.

A former royal palace with extensive and stunning gardens, it is filled with surprises around every turn and if you have found a luxury villa in Lucca, it is the perfect place to head off for a day trip.

Exploring the grounds, alone, will take up to two hours and if you want to picnic in the gardens (which we recommend) or visit the villa (although it is currently closed for renovation work), you will need additional time. Off the beaten tourist track and away from intense crowds but full of things to see and do, it is the ideal place to wander at your leisure and truly enjoy your downtime while on holidays.

Fattoria Betti is a vineyard and winery that was founded in 1900 and is located in Montalbano in Chianti. A quiet and beautiful part of the region that is made up of sleepy medieval villages, little churches, rolling fields of olive groves and vineyards, and old Medici villas.
