Villa Ardene
In March our team (with families... a big group) went to visit the Villa Ardene (no longer available) – a beautiful estate situated just down the road (1 km) from the hilltop town Montepulciano, aka the “Pearl of the 16th century”, in the south of Tuscany.

The owners Daniela and Benedetta (mother and daughter) showed us around and we were amazed by all the fine details and the superior quality of the restoration.

The furniture all in solid walnut and chestnut wood, skilfully restored in its original style.

Each bathroom a real example of luxury and elegance: natural stones and mosaics, the Bisazza’s mosaics and gems, handmade Greek frets painted by prestigious craftsmen. The chandeliers are unique pieces made in Murano, near Venice.     Read More

Il Casale
Another spotlight.... so do you really want to get away from it all, no noise, no traffic, no internet ? Just nature and beauty ?? We have it: Il Casale. This is just the typical Tuscan house and how you would imagine it, it's just that the pictures don't do it justice.

The owner Adriana takes such care of her house and the grounds, it's incredible. She's an old lady but still going strong, just leave her a note in the Guestbook ! So what you don't really see from the description and the pictures is that the interiors have been furnished with great taste and detail, and that the garden around the house is huge. There is no pool but who needs one if you can swim in the cristal clear water of the Farma river (walking distance from the house). Satisfaction Guaranteed !     Read More

Poggio Velluto Farmhouse
A long time ago I used to work with an American agent for Tuscany holiday rentals. He is no longer in this business but his way of describing the Tuscan properties was just great and I will always remember that. Together we went to visit this beautiful farm called Poggio Velluto in the Orcia valley near the hilltown called Seggiano. And this was his opening sentence for the property description: "As if GOD guided a medieval farmer once to the most perfect location for a farmhouse, thus was built Poggio Velluto...." And it's true... as far as locations go there are none better seen by this writer. And the style of both interior and furnishings are not far behind: a wonderful building for its angles, details, furnishings and delightfully friendly owners, this is one you will return to!

This sunday we will be visiting Villa Ardene near the hilltown Montepulciano, so keep posted for more details!     Read More

La Poggetta - covered terrace
Today a review on a beautiful house that our staff knows very well. La Poggetta is situated just on the outskirts of Cavriglia, a small town on the edge of the Chianti wine area. From here you can walk to town with all sort of shops and restaurants and that is perfect.

The house has a very nice covered terrace next to the big barbecue, there is a private swimming pool and a private tennis court and further a huge lawn with many trees and flowers. Beautiful roses are growing everywhere.... the guests can pick the fresh vegetables from the kitchen garden..... it's a Tuscan paradise !

The proud owners Alessandra and Alfiero do not speak English but they are very welcoming and are there for you in case you need anything.     Read More
