There are some superb churches here to admire. Be sure to walk around the magnificent exterior and interior of the beautiful Pieve di San Pietro and the 16th century church of Sant’ Andrea. It houses a stunning painting of ‘Madonna with Saints’ that is believed to have been painted by Niccolò di Pietro Gerini.
There are three castles in the area. One is called the Castle of Montegufoni, another is called the Castle of Sonnino which is now a successful winery and the third is the castle of Poppiano which offers fantastic tours and wine tastings.

Montespertoli is close to the famous Via Francigena, a renowned pilgrim route that leads from different corners of Europe, right into the city of Rome!
