6) Terre di Siena Festival – This marvellous events runs from June to September, most of which takes place in Siena city with some others hosted in surrounding towns and villages. It encompasses other Sienese celebrations like the Val d’Orcia Festival, Montepulciano’s International Art Exhibition and the Chigiana Musical summer Festival among many more. Come to a magnificent medieval fair which takes place in the Tuscan town of Volterra on the third Sunday of August and lasts for a full week! Live just like people did here during the Middle Ages by dressing up in traditional medieval costume and even trading for food goods and crafts with medieval currency! There is an abundance of food and wine stalls throughout Volterra at this time for tourists to enjoy browsing around.
