Rocca di Cetona, salon
In our final post in this series, we have two more of our most beautifully decorated vacation rentals in Tuscany. Both of these properties are historic beauties with interiors plucked right from a period movie.

9. Rocca di Cetona

The noble residence "Rocca di Cetona" is set majestically atop of a hill with commanding views over the Chiana Valley, surrounded by the historic town of Cetona. The property has Etruscan roots as three towers, one of which remains. This tower is incorporated in a later 17th century villa and is surrounded by 2 acres of parkland. It is a true architectural gem with more than two thousand years of history but has been carefully restored to ensure a comfortable stay today.     Read More

Lavacchio, living room
The setting of any vacation is important and not just the destination, but the accommodation, as well. For some people, this merely means that a rental will have all of the basic facilities they require – whether that is closeness to a city centre or beach, the correct number of rooms, a private pool, parking or other special features – but, for others, the design is equally important. For setting the tone of your holiday, enjoying organisation and neatness that may be far from your daily life, living in a property unlike anything you can access permanently or for making others jealous, the décor of a rental can be very important.

Luckily, Tuscany Villas boasts some rather breathtaking properties in ideal locations, with excellent facilities and with, often, prize-winning interiors. Here are some of our vacation rentals in Tuscany with beautiful interiors.     Read More

Montecatini Terme's indoor spa
For our final post on the top spas in Tuscany, we have chosen two more of the most particularly beautiful spa towns in the region.

It was a difficult thing to narrow down as a little known fact about Tuscany is that it is home to a multitude of freely accessible natural hot springs, which prompted the establishment of world-renowned and world-class spa destinations.

These towns combine all the typical charms of Tuscany – the historic and scenic settings, the culture, the slower pace of life and the delicious food and wine – with the perfect relaxation offered only by spa destinations. If you are in need of an opportunity to truly kick back and unwind, there really is nowhere better as a holiday destination.     Read More

Rocca di Radicofani
The Natural Park of the Val d’Orcia is an exceptionally beautiful part of Tuscany with pretty scenery and charming towns but one of the most impressive sights has to be the skyline of Radicofani, which is a typical medieval town topped by one of the most impressive fortresses in all of Italy. The Rocca di Radicofani, or Fortress of Radicofani, is an extraordinary building, steeped in legend and rich in history as it is located on the border between Tuscany and Lazio, had considerable military importance and was an important stop for both pilgrims and travelers. The building itself is fascinating and the views offered from its walls and windows are exceptional, displaying one of the best panoramas over the Tuscan countryside.

If you want to take in a real taste of the landscape of Tuscany, just find a villa with pool in Radicofani and discover this exceptional attraction for yourself.     Read More

Russell Crowe in "Gladiator"
Ridley Scott’s Academy-Award winning, "Gladiator" is one of the most iconic films to come out in the past twenty years. Though set in Rome, the movie was filmed in England, Morocco and Malta with reconstructions of Ancient Roman cities and sights made specially for the production. However, two of the key scenes from the film were actually filmed in the Orcia Valley in Tuscany. This beautiful and serene landscape which has inspired poets and artists alike for thousands of years was the perfect setting for idyllic scenes that contrasted the chaos and violence of the gladiatorial battles of the film.     Read More
