The lovely little town of Firenzuola lies close to the neighbouring towns of Barberino di Mugello, Scarperia and Borgo San Lorenzo and is less than an hour’s drive from Florence city. Firenzuola sits on a well-trodden old road connecting Florence to Bologna which made it quite an influential trading town back in the day.

Its name literally means ‘Little Florence’ due to the busy hive of activity that took place within its boundaries.

The cosy town of Murlo in Tuscany is conveniently situated less than twenty kilometres south of Siena and would make for an excellent day trip! Close to the tourist towns of Montalcino and Buonconvento, Murlo is a tiny Orange Flag town, tucked into a forested countryside.

Surrounded by lots of lovely rivers and streams, Murlo is a natural haven brimming with wildlife and colourful vegetation. Tourists would thoroughly love walking along peaceful trails here and capturing the views of the area on their cameras.

Caprese Michelangelo is a charming village in the province of Arezzo named after the famous Master sculptor of the Renaissance, Michelangelo Buonarotti.

This quiet little part of Tuscany, situated about 100 kilometres east of Florence is home to beautiful old churches, delicious restaurants and a fine museum and library built in honour of its most famous son, Michelangelo.
