San Casciano dei Bagni is a town in the Tuscan countryside located in the province of Siena. It is over one hundred kilometres from Florence, and is best known for its hot springs. The Romans developed the hot springs after they were originally discovered by the Etruscans. The springs were used by Tuscan aristocrats during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance era.
