First with its Etruscan and then Roman reminiscences, the town enjoyed considerable prosperity during the medieval period and from 1411 followed the glorious fortunes of the Granducato di Toscana. Podere Marcigliano consists of 2 newly built villas, which nevertheless reflect the architectural characteristics of the farmhouses of the past. It is accessible via a 30-meter path and is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. The surrounding solarium is paved with travertine and wood and furnished with sun loungers, umbrellas, and a shaded gazebo. Adjacent to the main pool is a second circular children's pool, covered in mosaic, with shallow water, hydromassage, and a shower with both hot and cold water.
