Ponte Vecchio
The Ponte Vecchio, ‘Old Bridge’ that crosses the Arno River in Florence is an important historic monument of the city. It’s built in typical medieval fashion; a closed spandrel segmental arched bridge.

The Palazzo Pitti is a vast and elaborate Renaissance palace in the city of Florence. Built on the south side of the River Arno close to the Ponte Vecchio, the original building here dates as far back as 1458 before later extensions were added.
